    Business Development Intern

    Description

    • As a Business Development Intern you will be based in one of Minexx’s operating countries working with our partners on the ground with support from our HQ team.
    • Your role is to drive the adoption of Minexx platform, manage the relationship with miners, traders, governments and refiners on the platform and provide feedback on the on-ground realities of operations and platform experience.

    Responsibilities and Tasks

    • Platform rollout and sales
    • Sell Minexx services to mine operators, trading companies and governments
    • Develop an understand of the challenges around artisanal and small scale mining and how Minexx solutions can benefit partners
    • Understand and communicate regulatory rules and benefits of working with Minexx

    Account management

    • Onboard new partners
    • Training of client staff on platform and procedures
    • Assist with data entry and analysis
    • Provide platform feedback to product and development team

    On the ground feedback

    • Ensure Minexx solutions are being developed bottom up based off the realities on the ground
    • Conduct regular site visits to understand realities on the ground
    • Test out new products and MVP solutions to solve client challenges
    • Build relationship with private sector, govt and NGO actors to understand local context, opportunities and challenges

    Person Specification

    • Undergraduate degree
    • Clear communicator: Fluency in English and French.
    • Fast Learner: You are quick to learn and strive to do better each day
    • Energy and Passion: You must bring energy each day & be passionate about our mission
    • Empathy: you can put yourselves in the shoes of miners, traders and government
    • Women are strongly encouraged to apply
