Job Specification

• Education - Medical Degree with license under the Ghana Medical and Dental Council/Critical Care Medicine
• Experience - At least 10 years in ICU, Emergency Services and administrative functions
• Skills - Leads in making decisions about resource allocation including financial considerations that affect medical care (e.g., use of formularies, contracts, appropriate use of lab tests). Participates in the facility budget process to help the facility allocate sufficient resources for essential medical functions and patient care activities.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Administrative
• Oversees clinical operation organization wide.
• Developing and directly engaging in clinical strategy development for all divisions.
• Participates and monitors medical budget.

Person-Directed Care

• Guides the physicians and other health care professionals and staff to provide person-directed care that meets relevant healthcare standards.
• Collaborates with facility leadership to create a person-directed care environment while maintaining standards of care.

Employee Health

• Leads in the surveillance and promotion in the health safety, and welfare of employees
• Advises the facility about infectious disease issues related to employees.
• Ensures the facility foster a sense of self-worth and professionalism among employees.
• Leads in identifying, evaluating, and addressing situations that increase the risk of employee injury and illness.
• Advises the facility's safety committee, in areas where medical expertise is helpful.
