    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • This position helps make gospel teaching, resources, or services accessible to all in a simple and affordable way.
    • Under moderate supervision, interacts with customers on telephone, learns second computer software package and answers customer service questions pertaining to curriculum materials, magazines, Church News subscriptions, and other materials used in units and by individuals. Develops proficiency in processing and entering orders for curriculum materials & magazine subscriptions. Incumbent receives training on subscription software package, and functions within general operating policies and procedures.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • 80% - Interacts with customers over the telephone or face to face. Inputs and corrects customer orders and subscriptions through various computer software packages. Learns to find their own errors and correct with instruction.
    • 20% - Trains on the different computer software packages, follows policies & procedures, expands knowledge of Distribution product line, handles customers on the telephone and face to face, deals with all types of orders and subscriptions, helps answer customer questions and problems, deals with customer personalities (ie. Unsatisfied and disappointed customers). Works on completing Customer Service Rep 2 requirements skills (current copy attached).
    • 5% - Increases speed and accuracy in all areas where training has been received.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Completed Customer Service Rep 1 training and four years clerical experience.
    • High School degree or equivalent.
    • Typing skills 35 -45 WPM.
    • Ten Key skills.
    • Basic math skills.
    • Good customer service skills.
    • Good telephone skills.
    • Familiarity with computer equipment.
