    Climate Change Specialist

    About the job

    • Arthur Energy Advisors (AEA) is looking for experienced consultants for short-to-long term consulting positions.


    Job Description & Competency Requirements:

    • Experience in developing projects at the intersection of climate and development, primarily for the energy sector
    • Experience developing climate-related plans and regulations
    • Demonstrated ability to advise and guide integrated climate risk management and mitigation strategies for organizations
    • Demonstrated ability to formulate adaptation and mitigation plans and strategies that comprehensively address climate change considerations
    • Demonstrated ability to utilize data collection and analyze programs to inform decision-making
    • In-depth understanding of climate issues, especially in developing countries


    Educational & Other Requirements:

    • Degree in Environmental Sciences, Climate Sciences, Engineering, or other relevant qualification
    • Ideally, must have at least 10+ years of relevant experience
    • Residence/Citizenship in West Africa will be an advantage
    • Experience working in West Africa/ECOWAS Countries and/or Africa will be an advantage


    Additional Competencies:

    • Fluency in written and spoken English, ability to speak or write French will be an added advantage
    • Basic/ advanced knowledge in office suite depending on the role being applied for
    • Ideally, must have at least 10+ years of relevant experience in relevant fields
