    Cocoa Sales Lead(Sales Agronomist/Sales Strategy/Cocoa Customer Portfolio/Agriculture)

    Job Description

    A global agricultural company specializing in the marketing and distribution of innovative crop production and life science brands with more than 200 active ingredients is currently looking for a Cocoa Lead in West Africa.

    Responsibilities:

    • Development of the cocoa customer portfolio cocoa in W&CA (Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Togo, Benin, Nigeria)
    • Development of commercial partnerships with actors in the sector (exporters, support structures for the sector, research organizations, public institutions etc.

    Marketing:

    • Definition of the marketing strategy and commercial positioning of the products of the W&CA cocoa range in the private market, exporters / cooperatives, public bids
    • Harmonization of the product ranges and the food chain approach in the W&CA zone
    • Supervision of the implementation of so-called "integrated" projects with cocoa sector stakeholders and institutional partners
    • Coaching and technical training of cocoa teams in W&CA

    Communication:

    • Strengthening the company’s brand image as a technical partner for sustainability in the cocoa sector
    • Development and enhancement of the company’s service offer for the cocoa business

    Research:

    • Participation in the design and monitoring of cocoa products (screening, regulations, etc.

    Hierarchical Positioning:

    • Reporting to W&CA Regional Marketing Manager for marketing aspects

    Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • Master’s degree in agronomy, commerce or management
    • Good knowledge of the cocoa business and its actors in West Africa
    • Network of contacts in the cocoa sector
    • Experience in the sale of agricultural inputs would be a plus
    • Bilingual French, English
    • Only Ghanian locals
