Position Summary: StarNews Mobile seeking a Content Manager in Ghana to join our team! This position will be responsible for managing the relationship with local content creators - including all business development and sourcing efforts, signing contracts, the onboarding journey on their channel, receiving content, tracking channel performance and content quality. This position will also be responsible for coming up with content plans and managing a content partner wish list.

Responsibilities:

• Strategically sourcing and identifying additional content opportunities with local content providers (studios, agencies, talent and/or influencers)
• Support the content acquisition strategy for StarNews Mobile with content providers in Nigeria
• Manage full lifecycle of content provider joining StarNews Mobile platform
• Monitor Channels to ensure there is an adequate pipeline of content for daily publishing (i.e. enough content must be collected from content providers and be published on a daily basis)
• Build, grow and retain strong relationships with content providers to nurture brand attachment and engagement with the SNM community
• Create and maintain a content roadmap for content providers
• Ensure contracts with content providers are well understood with a detailed marketing plan that will bring income to creators.
• Guarantee that content meets the quality standards as directed by senior leadership
• Ensure content creators participation in digital acquisition including social media promotion, auto promotion and other activations.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with finance to ensure content partners are paid and productions are within budget
• Identify potential issues or necessary improvements to increase sell-through
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams to launch successful channels
• Drive continuous improvement in all operational aspects of SNM relationship with its content providers
• Collaborate with internal teams across all functional areas within SNM
• Maintain KPIs, meet performance targets and regularly report to the head of content

Requirements:

• Located in Ghana
• Bachelor's Degree from a reputable university
• 6+ years of proven successful content management experience
• 6+ years of managing content partners and relationships
• Experience in media licensing models, evaluation metrics, and deal terms
• Understanding of Nigeria’s video content and telecom business with a broad network
• Knowledge of digital video landscape in Africa, including solid understanding of digital video distribution technologies
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.
