    Driver II

    About The Job

    • The Driver II provides and arranges transportation for staff and visitors, and performs or schedules maintenance for vehicle fleet.
    • The driver may also run local errands for country office staff.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
    • Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children.
    • Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
    • Provides or arranges transportation for local and visiting staff and vendors for ministry purposes.
    • Performs light vehicle maintenance or schedule maintenance with vendors, keeping the fleet vehicle maintenance up to date.
    • Provides transportation for sponsors, donors, and other high visibility visitors.
    • Collects and/or purchases supplies and other materials for the organization.
    • Responsibly conducts banking transactions, assuming accountability for valuables such as checks and cash while in possession.
    • Carries mail and other documents to and from Compassion’s office, as well as distributing mail to each department.
    • This experienced incumbent may provide technical advice to drivers and other associates.
    • Should be computer literate

    • Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

    • Accountable for supporting, upholding, and engaging in Compassion's core "Cultural Behaviors" in all internal and external communication and relationships.

    Education:

    • High School Diploma

    Experience:

    • Five years Relevant experience working in this or a related field.

    Language:

    • Able to speak English

    Licenses and Certifications:

    • Driver License D
    • Equivalent education, training and/or certification may be substituted for experience and education shown above

    Working Environment:

    • Office – Standard Office Environment

    Physical Demands:

    • Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day

    Travel Requirements:

    • May be required to travel at 80% of normal schedule
