Job Description
As a Full Stack Software Engineer with iChurch Solutions, you will be responsible for building enhancing and securing our web application for the Church Software industry.
At iChurch Solutions, you will work on a true cloud-based project that publishes code frequently. From small team discussions, design and code reviews, developing in a modern web stack, problem solving, refactoring, troubleshooting and improving, you will be fully involved in the development of the product.
What You Will Be Doing
- Build, enhance and secure the iChurch Solutions software
- Optimize it for performance and scalability
- Participate in design and code review
- Collaborate with a team to bring new features and unique selling points
Experience
- Aminimum of 3 years of professional experience, during which you’ve developed technical expertise and stellar professional skills.
Requirements
- Intermediate understandingof the core features of atleast one backend language:Primarily PHP/Node
- Intermediate understandingofJavaScript core language concepts-- DOM manipulation, Fetch API, ES6+ features
- Working knowledgeof at least one complementaryfront-end languages/frameworks(ex: Angular, jQuery ) as well as experience with responsive design interface development (Bootstrap)
- Intermediate understandingof at least one Web Framework: Codeigniter/Yii2/Laravel for PHP.
- Strong understandingoffundamental database concepts-relational (SQL) database, non-relational (NoSQL) database, ORMs/ODMs and Web storage API (front end)
- Experiencewitharchitecture and design principles,building to consider maintainability, performance, security requirements, and impact.
- Strongpreference for test-driven-development (TDD) and understands its importance
- Familiaritywith at leastone web server technology-- (ex: Apache, Nginx)
- Familiaritywith at least onecloud hosting platform--(ex: AWS, GCP)
- Working knowledgeoftools and editors-- (ex: Grunt, Sublime, Atom, JSLint)
- Comfortworking within agile methodologies and experienced in estimation and time management
Preferred Skills
- Strongability to problem-solve, debug, and understand pertinent performance metrics
- Knowledgeof unit, integration, e2e and UI testing, with at least one relevanttesting framework
- Familiaritywithcontainerization infrastructureand orchestration
- Awarenessof the capabilities of applicable languages/frameworks/libraries as well as the inherent differences between them in order to understand trade-offs and make recommendations.
