    Head, Business Development Officer

    Our client is a leading IT Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Consulting & Capacity Building Firm with deep competencies in Information Security, Information Assurance, Project Management, e-business and Knowledge Capacity Building.

    Job Responsibilities

    Networking

    •      Establishing new business relationships within the market
    •      Deepen existing client base
    •      Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining and leveraging your network
    •      Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders

    Product/service development

    •      Contribute to the development and refinement of company’s vision and strategy
    •      Develop effective negotiating strategies
    •      Understand, analyze and develop business strategies when working with clients

    Management and Research

    •      Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate
    •      Forecast sales target and ensure they are met by the team
    •      Plan approaches and pitches i.e. Work with teams to develop proposals that meets client needs, concerns and objectives

    Other Responsibilities includes;

    •      Work with BD department to ensure that fundamentals are filled within a timely manner
    •      Liaise with other executive heads on the implementation of the company’s strategic and operational plans
    •    Develop, review and report on the business development division’s strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by the team
    •   Support the overall process of management and corporate decision making to ensure the organization maximizes its short, medium and long term profitability and shareholder returns
    •    Develop and lead the business development team in sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities.
    •    Ensure efficient marketing, advertising and promotional planning through the marketing department

    Requirements
    Required Qualifications

    •      A good first degree in Business Development or Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA)
    •      Chattered Institute of Marketing (CIM)
    •      The Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM)
    •      Minimum of 4 to 6 years in sales or marketing.
