    Head of Internal Audit

    Job Description

    • Provide leadership for the Audit Team and coordinate their activities.
    • Provide advise on financial and audit policy issues to non- finance/finance
    • Plan financial and operational audits in line with the
    • organization’s objectives, structure, policies, processes, internal controls, and external regulations.
    • Identify risk areas, prepare audit scope, objectives and programmes.
    • Investigate instances of fraud and make recommendations to prevent future
    • Assess risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non- compliance.
    • Evaluate manual and automated financial processes, identifying process weaknesses, inefficiencies and operational
    • Verify assets and liabilities by comparing and analyzing items and supporting
    • Provide financial control information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends.
    • Verify all procurement documents by ensuring compliance with relevant existing procurement
    • Assess compliance with financial regulations and undertake financial statements review and

    Educational Qualification

    • Master’s Degree in Accounting or related
    • Certified Member of IIAG/ICAG/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA with at least FIVE (5) years post qualification work
    • Evidence of continuous professional

    Knowledge & Experience

    • A minimum of EIGHT (8) years total working experience, five
    • (5) years of which must be post qualification.
    • Knowledge of general administrative practices and office procedures/protocols.
    • Thorough understanding of: General Ledger Accounting practices, Cost Analysis and Accounting
    • Knowledge of Health and Safety, Computer and Accounting Software.
    • Demonstrate supervisory/team leader

    Skills & Abilities

    • Ability to design financial spreadsheets and analyze data and information.
    • Possess analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to demonstrate and participate in effective team work.
