Information Technology Officer at MGA Consulting Ghana Ltd.

A leading Insurance company seeks to employ the services of a result oriented IT Officer to assist with all managerial assignment of the IT department. The ideal candidate will play a support role to the IT Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage Information technology and computer systems.
• Provide first line assistance to users when having problems with the systems.
• Assist monitor and maintain network system for LAN and WAN.
• Ensure Installation and configuration of computer systems, printers and other peripherals.
• Diagnose and solve both hardware and application software problems.
• Ensure to manage database on SQL platform.
• Ensure backup management
• Management of Bulk SMS platforms.
• Assist with Digital marketing knowledge such as social media management and email marketing.
• Assist in all managerial assignment of the IT department
• Ensure all system and process issues and incident are logged and tracked using formal documentation.
• Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
• Provide training to employees on how to use computer systems and software effectively
• Ensure to test and evaluate new technology.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors of Science degree in computer systems or any other related field
• At least 2 – 3yrs working experience in IT management.
• Certificate in database administration and development.
• Excellent understanding of current I.T security and data protection standards.
• Excellent knowledge in cloud and mobile technology.
• Exercise initiative and creativity to complete project within the project scopes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced project-based environment.
• A demonstrated passion for learning new technologies.
• A programmer with knowledge in PHP, Java, C# or any language with a command on to build applications is an advantage.
