BCM is looking to hire knowledgeable, well qualified maintenance assembly and overhaul mechanics and technicians at its busy Spintex Engineering Centre.

Responsibilities and competencies for the suitable candidate would include:

• Under limited supervision to perform mechanical repairs, troubleshooting and disassembly of HD mining equipment and its subcomponents
• Evaluation of failure modes in the form of a written reports.
• Compilation of necessary spares in the form of a parts list
• Assembly, overhaul and testing of equipment and machinery as required.

Requirements

• Must demonstrate comprehensive hands on working knowledge and practical approach to performing tasks.
• Must have a relevant trade background in troubleshooting and overhauling of HD mining equipment, and their subcomponents.
• Must be able to work by OEM (original equipment manufacturer) established work practices, with predefined procedures and to quality standards.
• Will possess a good understanding of spare parts reusability policies, of at least of one major OEM. (original equipment manufacturer
• Will possess good mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to work to strict deadlines
• Must have good verbal and written communications skills
• Must be computer literate and possess basic computer skills.
• Must possess a minimum of 5 years continuous working experience in the field
• Relevant Technical qualifications and proof of training is required
