Marketing Manager at Landtours Ghana Ltd.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• The Marketing Manager will be responsible for promoting Landtours’ tour packages to the local and international markets by utilizing social media platforms, newsletters, online travel agencies, online booking platforms, and Landtours’ website. Areas of responsibility are:

News Letter

•  Creating an eight (8) page newsletter consisting of the latest Land Tours news, local industry news, and international industry trends for prospective clients on a monthly basis. The newsletter should consist of the following:
•  Two (2) feature articles; one about Ghana and the other about travel
•  Three promotional packages; two for Ghana and one for another country. Packages must be competitively priced.

•  Titbits of what is hot, trendy, cool, and new in the industry
•  Information and titbits across West Africa
•  Link Land Tours monthly newsletter to the front page of the website

Land Tours website

• Act as website administrator and liaison for Landtours webmaster
•  Keep track of visitor numbers to the website and use SEO to increase visitors to the site
•  Ensure that each new request/contact is added to a marketing database
•  Link sites to other best-performing sites with high visitor traffic
•  Post new promotional offers and featured tours on a monthly basis
•  Constantly keep the site updated

Social Networking and Marketing

• Work with the company’s social media company to develop an annual marketing strategy to ensure that Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram Platforms are aggressively growing followers and promoting the company’s tour offers and activities, and achievements.
• Monitor Social Media Company’s postings to ensure adherence to the contract.
• Report monthly on social media activity
• Promotional Flyers

Work with Landtours’ Design Team to implement the following:

•  Design an inbound and outbound annual calendar of tour packages
•  Design monthly promotional flyers
•  Produce special promotional flyers for events and special festivals
• On-Line Travel and Booking Agencies

Coordinate with the following On-Line Travel and Booking Agencies to post and promote new tour offers and features, company news, activities, and achievements:

•  Trip Advisor
•  Tour Radar
• Booking.com
•  Tour Hub

Travel Show Coordination

• Coordinate with the relevant government organizations to plan and coordinate Landtours participation in the following travel and trade shows
•  World Travel Market, London
•  World Travel Market, Cape Town
•  ITB, Berlin, Germany
•  USTOA Trade Show, USA
•  Any other relevant travel and trade shows

IF YOU MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS YOU SHOULD APPLY FOR THIS JOB!

•  BA degree from a recognized university
•  Eight (8) years of work experience in marketing for a service company
•  Five (5) years of work experience utilizing social media as part of a marketing strategy
•  Three (3) years of supervisory experience
•  Schooled or worked outside Ghana for five (5) years
• Five (5) years of work experience in an international organization
• Willing to work long hours and under pressure
• Willing to travel outside the African Continent and within the West African sub-region
