Mining Supervisor at Golden Star

 To supervise the activities of surface mining crew to achieve production targets and also liaise with safety personnel to identify and correct all safety deviations

Main Duties

•  Ensure that all equipment are properly maintained in order to ensure effective utilization.
•  Monitor daily production records and submit report daily basis
•  Liaise with the Mine Maintenance personnel to monitor and identify equipment defects and coordinate its repairs
•  Ensure the full utilization of the weigh bridge
•  Liaise with other functional units such as mine planning, survey and geology for other production preparation at the various portals.
•  Assist in month-end report preparation covering equipment statistics, ore reconciliation, etc
•  Supervise all road maintenance and earthwork related activities on the mine and within the catchment communities
•  Cultivate and maintain team work and coordination among the crew
•  Perform other duties that will be assigned from time to time

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or its equivalent
•  A minimum of 5 years in the mining supervision practice
•  Mining of blast statutory certification
•  Good computer skills in Power Point, Word, Excel, etc
•  Must be a holder of a valid Ghanaian Driver’s Class B or better
