    Officer - Information Systems, Registry and Assessment

    Description

    • The University is looking for suitable candidate to fill the following position for Ghana Campus.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Degree in Computing with specialisation in Networking plus 2 years of Experience. Certifications in CCNA/CCNP will be an added advantage.

    Summary of the Job:

    • Works across a board range of technologies and liaises across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems and requested.
    • Responsible for answering IT requests via phone, email, live chat or instant message and explaining solutions in technical and non technical terms.
    • Responsible for maintenance and support of the IT Components of the Institution in the assigned areas.
    • These include the Network ( Internet included), Serves, Computers (Hardware and Software), Projectors Screens, Network points, Printer, Telephones and any other IT components assigned.
    • The Officer will also be fully responsible for providing IT support to staff and students of Botho University and any other duties as would be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

    Assessment & Registry

    • Responsible for all Data Processing, Transcript Printing, Student Registration and enrolment, Student Document Management, assessment related work including planning, implementing both internal and external examinations as per the guidelines of the department.
    • To ensure strict confidentiality and accuracy in all aspects of student data including results.
    • Also work on detection and minimizing of plagiarism to achieve departmental objectives.
    • All tasks done as per the QMS of the department and in line with institutional objectives.

    Skills and Competencies required:

    • Excellent Customer Service (Face-to-Face)
    • Telephone or Electronic Interaction with Clients, Good Language and Communications Skills, Problem-Solving
    • Relevant Certifications such as Microsoft/Comptia and Cisco, Good Understanding of Computer Support and Troubleshooting,
    • Knowledge of Windows 7/10, Mac OSX, Windows Server products and/or Apple Operating Systems
    • Ability to Work in a Team, ability to Prioritise Projects
    • Excellent Network and server management
    • Install and configure infrastructure servers - MCSE Training
