About The Job

• Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer to join our growing Commercial team in Ahafo North.

Position Summary:

• Reporting to the Contracts Manager the Procurement Officer will be responsible for evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality with compliance to Company, Client, regulatory and contractual requirements.

The Tasks You'll Perform:

• Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
• Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
• Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
• Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased
• Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers
• Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.

• Strong knowledge and demonstrable experience in all aspects of Procurement.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables.
