Production Manager (Animal Feed) at Orcons Systems Limited

He/she is responsible for planning, organizing, and regulating animal feed production. He / She should be a driven, detail-oriented, analytical research technologist who would focus on designing, executing, and analyzing feed experiments, taking into consideration the nutritional requirements of the farm animals.

Production Manager is the one responsible for effective production, managing, and overseeing the whole process and day-to-day operations.
He/she is responsible for planning, organizing, and regulating animal feed production. He / She should be a driven, detail-oriented, analytical research technologist who would focus on designing, executing, and analyzing feed experiments, taking into consideration the nutritional requirements of the farm animals.

• Evaluate chemical and nutritional value of animal feed
• Formulate diets such as maximizing growth and creating competitive advantage
• Prepare feed formulations and monitor their performance to meet quality criteria for the animal feed production
• Investigate the best storage conditions for feed
• Explore lower cost/alternate feed substrates and feed formulations
• Conduct research and generate reports that can be clearly understood
• Understand feed interactions with external factors such as temperature, humidity and infrastructure   modifications
• Record and analyze data related to feed experiments
• Contribute to budget creation and anticipate resource needs to reach targeted goals
• Develop feed quality control protocols and procedures
• Identify feed additives for optimum feed performance

Qualification and Requirements

• Minimum 1st Degree in Agriculture and its related courses
• Experience Level: At least 5 years of practical experience in Animal Husbandry.
