    Project Coordinator at Oxfam

    The Project Coordinator for the Women’s Economic Advancement for Collective Transformation (WeACT) will play a key role in leading, coordination and implementation of the project in the targeted regions and districts and ensure quality delivery of the GAC funded project in Ghana. S/he will develop and manage relations with partner organizations, state agencies, local authorities, private sector among others and ensure proper implementation of activities and delivery of project results in a programmatic approach. The position will ensure coordination and cross learning among the consortium partners as well as working closely with Oxfam Quebec who holds the contract with the donor Global Affairs Canada.

    The Role

    • We are looking for a strong team leader with a minimum of five years relevant work experience in a similar position in coordination and/or international development with a specialty in project management, more specifically focused on gender equality and related to Oxfam’s fields of intervention. A master’s degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
    • The successful candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively with the team to maximize Oxfam’s impact on rights to sustainable and inclusive livelihoods through women economic leadership and engaging with the private sector, civil society and government at local, national, regional and global levels. Must be comfortable with working within a multidisciplinary, multi-cultural environement with experience in managing projects funded by institutional donors, particularly Global Affairs Canada (GAC).
    • The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge understanding of good approach to women’s rights, gender, power relations, women’s rights, and at least working knowledge of gender and social development issues in Ghana. Experienced in project management and monitoring is essential with strong individual planning and organizational skills with ability to prioritise, coordinate, control and forward plan several tasks at the same time, without supervision and within tight timing constraints.
