    Project Manager

    The Fair Justice Initiative is hiring a Project Manager to oversee a short-term project in response to COVID-19. We are a non-governmental organization in Accra, Ghana that specializes in the provision of legal services to the inmates of the Nsawam Medium Security Prison (‘Nsawam Prison’). This program is in partnership with GIZ and will focus on the training of/creation of PPE inside the female section of the prison. Other subsections of the program will include mental health, public health education, and skills training. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing this project within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

    • HOURS/DESCRIPTION: Limited Contract - Full time position. Will work approximately 40 hours per week. This position will last for the duration of the 6-month project.
    • WAGE: Determined by the qualifications and level of experience of applicant.

    CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:

    • Strong written and verbal English skillsSelf-motivation and creativity
    • Ability to monitor large budgets and spending
    • Experience in coordinating contracts with independent consultants and subcontractors
    • Experience will nonprofit organization

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Candidate must be a Ghanaian national or a permanent resident of Ghana with authorization to work
    • Must currently live in Accra
    • Must have at least 2 years’ experience of managing large scale projects
    • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Development, or similar field (although Master’s degree preferred)
    • Experience in monitoring/reporting
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office
