    Property Management Clerk

    Duties

    The incumbent ensures accountability for all non-expendable assets managed by the General Services Office (GSO) Property section.  S/he is responsible for maintaining records to account for these assets and s/he is responsible for all aspects of the disposal of excess and overaged property.  The incumbent ensures that the data in Integrated Logistics Management System – Asset Management (ILMS-AM) and the Loanable Property module are accurate, and s/he uses these data to make data-driven decisions regarding the acquisition and disposal of non-expendable property.

    Qualifications and Evaluations

    Requirements:

    EXPERIENCE:  

    • A minimum of two (2) years of secretarial or administrative experience is required.
    • Must hold a valid “Class B” driver’s license and have had the license for at least five years. 

    JOB KNOWLEDGE:

    • Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel as well as have basic operation of the Internet.
    • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks. 

    Education Requirements:

    • Completion of post-secondary school is required.

    Evaluations:

    • LANGUAGE:  Level III - working knowledge (written/spoken, and at least one (1) of the Ghanaian local languages is required

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Proficient computer skills in basic software programs such as Word, Excel, and other Microsoft applications.
    • Basic keyboarding skills for the purpose of official communications such as drafting memos and status reports is required.
    • Must be able to judge situations quickly and correctly to protect and account for U.S. Government assets.
