PSV Technicians and Mechanical Technicians at Southey Contracting

JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS

• Perform programme and corrective maintenance on the PSV offshore, as well as function tests, repairs, overhauls, and replace
• Responsible for repair and testing of various valves, ncluding but not limited to ball valves, gate valves, butterfly valves, safety relief valves, etc
• Perform disassembly, cleaning inspection, measuring, reassembly and testing of values at client locations
• Thoroughly complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs
• Operate and maintain in proper condition all test equipment, precision tools, hands tools, machine shop and rigging equipment associated with equipment listed above
• Assure that inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, lube oil, consumables and special replacement parts are available for continuous operation
• Able to read P&ID, technical drawings and refer to manuals to perform routine maintenance
• Follow all schematics and documented procedures in accordance with all quality control and ASME National Board standards that apply to the job
• Documenting and accurately reporting in IPES (SAP) & logbook on all maintenance repairs, overhauls, adjustments and inspections
• Travel to job sites and adhere to all site safety and performance requirements
• Communicate timely updates to management, co-workers and customers to ensure timely and successful completion of job successful completion of job responsibilities
• Works closely with co-workers, management and safety coordinator to ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations

• Experience in working with PSV (overhaul & repair) and similar work activities
• Work well under pressure and have impeccable time management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Organisational and leadership skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability
• Candidate must be available at short notice
• Must be available to travel regularly
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Qualification Required & Experience

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Certification in Marine Valve Inspection and Actuation
• More than 5 years of experience in plant maintenance as mechanical technician in oil and gas.
• More than 5 years of experience in plant maintenance as PSV Technician / Mechanical technician
