Regional Percussive Service Technician at Epiroc

Job Description

• As a Regional Percussive Service Technician, you will be part of a global team and located in Obuasi, Ghana.
• You will report to the Percussive Service Manager in the Service & Operations department.
• The percussive team is responsible for applying drilling methods using down-the-hole (DTH), Top hammer (TH) and HRD (hydraulic rock drill).
• The Operations and Service department focuses on providing innovative solutions and timely support for field operations.
• The main responsibility for this position is to provide technical support and innovative solutions to the various Customer Centers, Distributors, Dealers and End Users in the Africa region. 
• As a Regional Percussive Service Technician, you will develop comprehensive product and application knowledge to assist Customer Centers in reaching their revenue targets.
• You will also use your technical knowledge to identify problems related to product handling, selection and quality.

• You are highly result oriented, structured, analytical, and comfortable working within different cultures, countries, and various levels within the organization and externally with customers.

Requirement/Skills

• A Degree or Higher National Diploma in Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
• Relevant technical knowledge  in DTH,TH, HHE
• Ability to use and understand Movex, ACIGN, ComActivity, M3 online, PDM, Focal Point, SharePoint and any other program required for execution of the work
• Computer skills (MS Office Suite)
• Fluency in English (intermediate), understanding of French is huge advantage
• Good presentation skills

Note:This is a fixed term contract position for three years and renewable depending on performance.
