Senior / Principal Social Scientist at Golder

Preferred minimum qualifications and skillsets include:

• Masters’ degree in social sciences orequivalent.
• Demonstrable and progressive experience in the social sciences discipline (Social impact assessment, involuntary resettlementplanning and compensation; livelihood restoration and stakeholder engagement).
• Applied understanding of, and proven experiencein international and lender standards.
• 10-15 years of progressive experience in the broad social science consulting field.
• Progressive project experience in Ghana and WestAfrica.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite ofsoftware, MS Project

Competencies:

• A Ghanaian National, or holder of a valid transferable work permit will be an advantage
• Proven ability to build business and maintainstrong client relationships.
• Demonstrate a high level of business acumen, todeal well with clients, work in multi-disciplinary teams, be problem solversand be passionate about investing in their career growth.
• A high level of attention to detail, technicallystrong in your specialist field and with a recognised and growing professionalprofile
• Strong project management capabilities;
• Well-developed communication skills, includingthe ability to write well, and
• Multi lingual skills will be an advantage,particularly French
