    Supply Chain Specialist

    Our client is an Independent Power Producer (IPP) based in the British Virgin Islands with operations in Africa. It specializes in providing custom-engineered turnkey distributed generation energy solutions for clients in the mining, manufacturing, and utilities. Also, in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) as well as operation and maintenance (O&M) Supply Chain Superintendent to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of their Tarkwa Plant.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for primarily administrating Project Contracts for Genser Energy by liaising with suppliers and contractors to ensure the execution of each projects contract. The position works closely with the VP of Technical Services, along with the Supply Chain Manager.

    Roles and Responsibility:

    •  Invite and process all contract tenders; Prepare all contract documents for execution.
    •  Negotiate contract terms with internal and external business partners.
    •  Review and update existing contracts.
    •  Explain terms and conditions of all contracts to managers and interested parties.
    •  Ensure that employees understand and comply with contracts terms and requirements.
    •  Analyze potential risk involved with specific contract terms.
    •  Stay up-to date with legislative changes and coordinate with the legal department as needed.
    •  Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on contracts are met, i.e. payments and shipping, etc.
    •  Maintain organized system of physical and digital records.
    •  Create language standards for existing and new contracts.
    •  Administer and oversee contract control and defect reporting procedures; collate and issue schedule of defects.
    •  Oversee and manage all contract claims.
    •  Coordinate all site inspections in accordance with regulatory or contractual obligations.
    •  Ensure that all project documentation is issued to the client, specifically interim or completion certificates, and making good of defects certificate.

    Qualification and Skills:

    •  Knowledge in International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) Contract regulations & legal requirements of Oil & Gas / Energy law.
    •  Degree in Business Administration or Engineering; MBA in International Trading or Engineering or Energy preferred. 
    •  8+ years’ experience in related field, specifically 2-4 years in Supervisory role with Contract Administration experience.
