    Underground Operators / Technical Trainer - West Africa

    The mission

    Operator Trainers/Technical Trainer provide high quality operational training and documentation for all Epiroc Divisional related products and services. The successful candidate will work with the Parts and Service Division's (PSD) West Africa. This role will achieve growth initiatives by focusing on improved customer satisfaction through effective communication and partnership with the goal to achieve best service provider status among all current and prospective customers. The Operator Trainer/Technical Trainer will spend a big portion of their time working underground, so candidates must be comfortable working in that environment.

    The potential with this role is to growth with PSD department in different position in the future as Service Operation Manager / BLM within Epiroc West Africa.

    The preferred locations for this role are Ghana or Mali.

    The role

    • Responsible for supporting for all Underground Epiroc product lines through Service Centers, Dealer Partners and end users, Sales Organization, Product Companies and Product Support Technicians
    • Develop and provide high quality safety and operational training on all Epiroc divisional related products and services as requested for operators, mechanics, other Epiroc employees and external customers.
    • Participate in the creation, documentation and implementation of operations training to assist service centers, dealers and customers to achieve increased and safe levels of efficiency and productivity.
    • Deliver training in underground mining environments.
    • Manage, coach, train and lead employees in a fashion that is consistent with our company's culture and management philosophy by developing training plans, personally and organizationally, for new models and options.
    • Utilize Epiroc published documentation wherever applicable in order to present a consistent and repeatable message to customers, aligned with the Epiroc global training standard strategy.
    • Facilitate Capital Equipment and Rock Drilling Tools Division testing, to maximize product longevity for the customer.
    • Maintain Epiroc superior standards through training and mentoring of all local personnel with a focus on technicians working in partnership with all Epiroc groups and customers to sustain product performance.
    • Participate in the creation, documentation, and implementation of operations training to assist service centers, dealers and customers to achieve increased levels of efficiency/ productivity and in alignment with Epiroc Technical Information Services (TIS) documentation.
    • Ensure that the correct responsible departments are involved in the development of procedures to ensure that all Epiroc West Africa company activities are performed in accordance with Epiroc published documentation training standards whenever possible
    • Drive product operational feedback up to the responsible Divisions through the use of Epiroc preferred company reporting systems, personal communication and product counsel communication.
    • Always maintain a courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff.

    Competences, Skills And Experience

    • High level understanding of the various material extraction ("Mining") processes as well as application knowledge of drilling, excavating and material handling associated with the above-mentioned processes is preferred.
    • An advanced understanding of the control and navigation systems used on Epiroc and other OEM equipment.
    • Must possess an active, valid driver's license.
    • Underground mining experience is required.
    • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
    • Technical writing ability to provide documentation of events that allow accurate reenactment by stakeholders.
    • Ability to work with a team, independently and be a self-starter.
    • Travel is expected in West Africa
    • Expected to be based on mine site when is required
    • Educational requirements:
    • University Degree, preferably in a electromechanical field or same gained by experience
