    Maintenance and Facility Engineering Coordinator

    Job Summary

    • As a growing organization, AGROPAL is seeking new talents to complement its existing team with its mission of empowering every actor in the agricultural value chain.
    • Therefore, AGROPAL is seeking to hire a self-motivated, technical expert, analytical, and vibrant candidate for the role of Maintenance and Facility Engineering Coordinator.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Head the maintenance and facility teams and supervise all maintenance works to ensure equipment is available for production.
    • Investigate, identify, and report any defect in the facility and track the overall performance of the equipment.
    • Train and coach, the machine operators and technicians on equipment handling and best maintenance practices 
    • Ensure all preventive maintenance systems (PMS) are planned, scheduled, and executed on time by using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) correctly.
    • Submit a monthly report on all activities in the factory, including PMS and machine breakdowns, weekly and monthly.
    • Register all new equipment and machines in the CMMS.  
    • Review maintenance procedures, manuals, and maintenance plans for assets within the facilities.
    • Ensure safety and health protocols adhere to when performing maintenance. 
    • Submit quarterly progress reports on process improvements within the facilities.
    • Ensure that technicians are on standby to assist with emergency situations.
    • Ensuring that engineering and maintenance activities comply with engineering standards and fully support company objectives both with regard to short-term and long-term strategy.
    • Report directly to the factory manager and coordinate with the production manager to determine appropriate maintenance schedules.

    Required Skills or Experience


    • A Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial Engineering or a related field.
    • The candidate must have at least five (5) years of professional experience in a food or fruit processing industry 

    Skills and Abilities

    • Candidate must have a good command of the English language with strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Must be fluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills. 
    • Candidate must be proactive, dedicated, and performance-driven, with analytical skills. 
    • Candidate must have the ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision. 
    • Candidate must demonstrate experience as a leader and a team player. 
    • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Candidate must have a good understanding and technical knowledge in the required field.

    Electrical, Mechanical and Welding Technicians

    Job Summary

    • As a growing organization, AGROPAL is seeking new talents to complement its existing team with its mission of empowering every actor in the agricultural value chain. Therefore, AGROPAL is seeking to hire graduate interns and national service personnel as electrical, mechanical, and welding technicians to work in the Technical Department.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    The hired candidates will be responsible for the following: 

    Electrical Technicians

    • Maintain and support the factory's electrical installations, machine control, and automation.
    • Assist in the development of plans to reduce/minimize power outages for plant equipment.
    • Use good housekeeping and engineering when performing tasks.
    • Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on factory equipment and machinery.
    • Respond quickly to machine breakdowns and perform containment.

    Mechanical Technicians

    • Ensuring that all machines in the production process are in good working condition.
    • Machine part preparation and assembly.
    • Prepare reports, analyzes data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
    • Maintain and repair production and maintenance equipment.
    • Ensure that technical safety standards, food safety, and company policies and procedures are met at all times.

    Welding Technician

    • Perform all of the company's welding and fabrication tasks. 
    • Assist in maintenance activities throughout the factory.
    • Ensure that all workshop equipment/tools, such as drilling machines and welding machines, are in good working order at all times.
    • Repairs equipment, mold boxes, and other items while clearly indicating their status or condition.
    • Ensures that the QMS procedures for maintenance are fully implemented and communicate proposed changes to the Management Representative. This includes the documentation and approval of procedures and work instructions, as well as process forms and other forms as needed.

    Required Skills or Experience


    • A Bachelor of Science Degree or High National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.

    Skills and Abilities

    • Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical component parts of industrial plants.
    • Good knowledge of storekeeping, and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.
    • Knowledge of risk standards (Quality / H&S / Environment) Safety and hygiene compliance procedures.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (word and excel), SAP, and POKA applications.
    • Good communication skills and a team player.
    • Experience in the food manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
    • Applicants must be living around the factory location.

    Finance & Administrative Coordinator

    Duties and Responsibilities

    The hired candidate will be responsible for the following:

    • Accurate processing of financial data.
    • Record payments and expenses
    • Process invoices and management of receivables and payables
    • Prepare budgets and projections to aid in decision-making.
    • Prepare monthly financial and KPI performance reports for use by management.
    • Processing of payroll.
    • Assist storekeeper during inventory count.
    • Supporting external financial audits.
    • Provide advice on financial decisions.
    • Assist operations to uncover gaps and boost performance.
    • Review and propose strategies for maximizing efficiency reduce costs in order to increase profits.

    Qualification Required & Experience:

    • Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration, or relevant tertiary education in Business and Finance.
    • Excellent financial analytical skills.
    • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of accounting software (experience with Tally & SAP software will be an advantage).
    • Candidate must have at least seven years of relevant working experience (excluding national service), preferably in a production environment. Candidates without these years of experience will be automatically rejected.
    • A member of ICA/ACCA or at the final level will be an added advantage.
    • Must be fluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Candidate must be proactive, dedicated, performance-driven, and capable of working with limited supervision.
    • The candidate must demonstrate experience as a team player.
