    Technical Trainer and Service Engineer

    About the position

    • The technical trainer and service engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:
    • Conduct technical training on specific product groups for employees and customers.
    • Develop standardized training
    • Assist partners and customers in the event of technical problems with Dräger Safety devices.
    • Service, repair and calibration of Dräger safety devices and testing machines in the West African region.
    • Ensure the provision of services according to the guidelines (geographically, by product line, by task, etc.) for customer satisfaction and the development of revenues and contracts with internal and external customers.
    • Telephone and front-line response to sales chain partners/customers, as required for product liability.
    • Planning and execution of service tasks in the region on the site.
    • Perform warranty services and installations only when no distribution partner is designated.
    • Perform technical corrective actions only when no SCP is named.
    • Assists the CPS in carrying out corrective repairs in accordance with the escalation process.
    • Provide feedback on the quality and corrective actions of the field to the management of operations in the region.
    • Provide support to CPS regarding service level agreements.
    • Provide basic post-installation technical training only when no SCP is named.
    • Cooperates with SCP on services/accessories for contract development and implementation.
    • Diagnose problems with the networking of our equipment and network configuration, e.g. fixed gas installations.
    • Independent and appropriate conduct of training for target groups using the course description and the training materials given.
    • Adaptation of training for specific target groups as well as training materials to achieve learning objectives, taking into account agreed training standards and processes.
    • Cooperation with the Academy's interface partners as well as with other relevant departments.

    Job Requirements

    • Technical qualification related to sales, ideally in one of the segments of the oil and gas or mining industry.
    • Continuous training, mainly in the field of education, alongside professional experience, instrumentation or process/service engineering.

    Related experience

    • 3 years of experience in the technical security environment
    • 3 years of experience in carrying out training courses

    Special skills, competencies or certifications

    • Technical knowledge of electronic equipment
    • Ability to communicate fluently in business English and French (oral and written)
    • Knowledge of the competitors concerned, advantageous
    • Knowledge of relevant application areas
    • MS Office - Intermediate
    • Valid driver's license
    • Ability to work outside of normal working hours
    • Ability to travel

    Product and Application Specialist

    About the position
    The Product and Application Specialist will be responsible for:

    • Cover the geographical area of West Africa.
    • Provide technical, business, and application support to partners and end users in the region.
    • Cover Dräger's entire security portfolio
    • Responsible for the organization and realization of product presentations for the end customers of the relevant security portfolio and the presentation of Dräger solutions to existing and new customers.
    • Responsible for the organization and animation of training in the sale of products for the partners of the sales chain.
    • Provides product training to end users if necessary, especially in countries where Dräger does not have a business partner.
    • Support sales chain partners by organizing trade fairs and seminars.
    • Provides the decision-maker with the essential characteristics and benefits that will influence the decision.
    • Provide technical and application training to end users and the sales team.
    • Train users in special applications in West Africa
    • Training of area managers and sales channel partners to ensure the effectiveness of the sales force.
    • Provide expert assistance for equipment demonstration to customers.
    • Assist the sales team in demonstrating equipment to users, including non-decision makers.

    Job Requirements

    • MSc in Engineering (or equivalent) or
    • Diploma in Business Administration/Sales and Marketing (or equivalent)

    Related experience

    • 3-5 years of professional experience (ideally partly in sales or service)
    • Experience in an international environment
    • Experience in carrying out training courses

    Special skills, competencies or certifications

    • Strategy and business know-how
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Very good English and French skills (negotiation level)
