    Product Manager - Payments


    • The Product and Propositions Lead provides expert knowledge to deliver the activities of design, development, deployment and go to market of compelling and profitable propositions, which deliver the desired user journey experience, and Brand positioning.
    • The correct development, pricing and marketing of products and services will drive customer loyalty and achieve target revenue.
    • The Product and Propositions Lead focusses on activities that influence and determine pricing, champion new product innovations and communicate the products' benefits to the market to drive sales.
    • Typically reports to Senior Products and Propositions Manager.

    Job Responsibility

    • Assists, advises and executes processes and activities for delivery of propositions relating to key business priorities;
    • Drives the delivery of pricing and promotions overview across all channels (digital, shops, etc.) and across competitors, using a full range of data sources, such as Social Listening for maximising insights;
    • Helps defining a core set of data sources to inform proposition design and construction so as to best match underlying sub-segment needs and focuses on a simple customer experience;
    • Supports defining the customer insights, target audience, market opportunities, proposition initiatives and customer experience which will differentiate Vodafone from the competition and grow NPS, revenue, Brand consideration and market share;
    • Delivers activities relating to the end-to-end product lifecycle, including design, implementation and delivery against business targets (including management of any risks and opportunities as they arise);
    • Maintains strong relations and work closely with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Brand, Digital, Base Marketing, Finance and Sales Teams) to understand successes owing to product/propositions;
    • Collaborates with insights teams to understand future product features;
    • Understands market segments and drives engagement with wider stakeholder teams (for example, Pre-Sales, Sales and Commercial Finance) to ensure sales and revenue target achievement;
    • Supports engaging with other Vodafone markets to rollout test and learn approaches to new proposition launches;
    • Uses knowledge to ensure best practice is utilised within the Products and Propositions team;
    • May provide guidance to junior members of the team.

    Product Manager - Remittance

    Role purpose

    • Vodafone Cash is making strides to deepen and strengthen its offering to consumers and businesses in Ghana, making it easier for our customers to manage their money and get more from their limited resources.
    • Remittances cover local transfers across senders and business and cross border remittances through Money Transfer Organizations (MTOs), Hubs and Aggregators
    • The Remittance Manager will be expected to drive the remittance strategy to promote growth and position Vodafone Cash as the preferred wallet for remittances.
    • The Manager is expected to identify opportunities and nurture this into products to drive adoption.
    • You will be expected to identify gaps to grow P2P, Cash In, Cash out and International Money Transfer (IMT).
    • This may require co-creation with partners and alignment of the roadmap to drive active customers to adopt financial services. 

    Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership

    • Champion the growth of Remittance by owning the strategy and leading in execution:
    • Identify opportunities within the industry and development strategies for growth
    • Develop innovative and compelling products to drive the growth of Local and Foreign remittances.
    • Ensure best practices and standards are employed to meet AML and other compliance requirements.
    • Ensure price offerings are benchmarked against local and international markets to maximise profit
    • Own and manage revenue targets
    • Develop, manage, and own a marketing plan to drive adoption
    • Support partners to drive remittances in sending and receiving markets.
    • Core competencies, knowledge, and experience

    >3 years of Product Management or Commercial experience in a customer facing environment

    • Keen understanding of business product development, Strong knowledge of mobile money and fintech services
    • Experience with emerging market consumers
    • Analytical mind, structured thinker with strong business acumen
    • Results-driven, self-starter
    • Solid influencing and negotiation skills

    Technical / professional qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Passion for, and commitment to driving mobile money growth and innovation

    Fixed Business Development Manager

    Role Purpose

    • To execute the Fixed broadband Sales strategy process in assigned region whilst ensuring and maintaining positive revenue growth year on year.
    • To enable achievement of all targets through monitoring, tracking and ownership of all sales through to activation.
    • To act as a Point of Contact within the Commercial Function to notify of the bigger team of all market dynamics within territory of operation.
    • It's equally important to drive team to build knowledge and understanding of all Vodafone Fixed products and commissions policies as well as health and safety standards.  
    • You are regarded as the “eye” of Fixed Business within the region.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Motivate team to reduce Fixed agent attrition and drive efficiency
    • Provide 2nd Line support to ZMs and sales agents by liaising with key stakeholders
    • Prepare and ensure timely  Fixed sales opportunities for sales
    • Demonstrates a strong ability to analyze and solve problems in order to gives appropriate feedback to team and management. 
    • Acting to solve discovered problems/issues in line with set processes and procedures.
    • Escalating discovered problems/issues in line with set processes and procedures.
    • Provides accurate and up to date information on a regular basis to keep team and managers informed of market dynamics 
    • Recommends and executes improvement actions to processes and procedures in line with Vodafone’s continuous improvement 
    • Improve overall team function capability and effectiveness
    • Has a detailed and working knowledge of all relevant technologies, products, services or processes.

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience

    • Degree or Masters in Marketing or any related field 
    • 2 – 5 years Telecoms experience with specialisation in any sales area
    • Excellent computer knowledge.
    • Strong communication and decision making skills – ability to balance conflicting interests.
    • Proactive individuals with a flexible and adaptable approach to their work and a proven track record demonstrating that they’re a team player, strong influence and relationship management skills, and, and customer centric.
    • A working Knowledge of Vodafone products and services. 
    • Awareness of Vodafone’s network and support systems (e.g. Billing & payment methods, reporting and service management) 
    • Ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical customers.
    • Must be able to multi-task.
