    Assets and Inventory Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To set up and maintain an efficient assets and inventory management system to enable proper monitoring and safeguarding of assets and inventories.
    • Communicate World Vision's Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.
    • Ensure the maintenance, updating and proper tracking of fixed assets register in accordance with policy.
    • Ensure stock taking is done at least twice a year and advise management on the disposal of obsolete items
    • Preparing the purchase orders, receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock levels and giving out the supplies from the stock.
    • Ensure timely implementation of all audit recommendation relating to the management of fixed assets and inventories.
    • Design and set up efficient fixed assets and inventory management system at the projects and train field finance staff in fixed assets and inventory management.
    • To oversee that the arrangement of goods has been done in an orderly system within the stock location system so that the stock can be stored easily and retrieved whenever there is a requirement. Similarly, he/she ensures that the stocks stay physically protected in the warehouse
    • To maintain record of receipts as well as issuance of items that are going out of the warehouse so as to ensure accuracy and completeness
    • He/she is responsible for preparing the reports on adjustments done to inventories that may be damaged, spoilt, etc., and coordinates the purchasing, inventory and warehousing functions.

    • To ensure the correct and timely valuation of the inventory and to be involved in directing and managing procedures related to offloading, packing and unpacking

    Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

    The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

    • Minimum Educational level required: HND/Degree in Supply Chain/Procurememt/Accounting
    • Technical Training qualifications required:  Good working knowledge in MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
    • Experience:  3 years working experience in similar position

    Essential Skills 

    • He/she should have excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Good analytical and organizational skills
    • Should have methodical approach to complete the assigned work and pay attention to details

    Water Quality Laboratory Manager

    Purpose of the position:

    • Under limited supervision of Project Manager, this position is responsible for the operation and administrative functions of the Lab in a comprehensive water quality monitoring and analysis, and performs related duties as required.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Direct supervisory personnel overseeing professional staff engaged in collecting water samples, conducting water quality investigations, laboratory research and regulatory impact analysis.
    • Reviews water quality reports and analytical results from bacteriological and chemical analysis for regulatory compliance and water quality investigations.
    • Manages the response to water quality emergencies and complaints by investigating water compliance incidents and assigning personnel to investigate and determine corrective actions for implementations
    • Oversees compilation of Annual Water Quality Report
    • Oversees regulatory compliance to safe drinking water regulations
    • Prepare and administers the budget for the Water Quality Division
    • Develops work standards and conducts performance evaluations of supervisory personnel
    • Oversees laboratory quality assurance program required for laboratory certification
    • Liaisons with external regulatory agencies and member agencies, as it relates to operational activities that may affect water quality or compliance with regulations
    • Manages the cataloguing of information to various periodicals and responds to technical or more complex questions or complaints related to water quality

    Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

    • The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related field with 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience. A background in microbiology is preferred

    Technical Skills & Abilities:

    • Laboratory Analysis - Extensive Knowledge of chemical and bacteriological principles, terminology, analytical techniques and method, laboratory instrumentation and equipment pertaining to the analysis of water and drinking water samples.
    • Through knowledge of EPA and regulations that apply to drinking water. Knowledge of the processes and treatment stages involved in drinking water treatment.
    • Laboratory Instrument – Thorough knowledge of laboratory instrument such as ICP, ICP-MS, GC, GC-MS, IC, TOC, or automated colorization analysers. Ability to perform troubleshooting of instrumentations and equipment to including performing general maintenance and repairs.
    • Supervision – Knowledge of leadership techniques, principles and procedures to assign work, schedule, supervise, train, and evaluate work of assigned staff.
    • Safety – Thorough knowledge of safety procedures for handling and testing samples.

    Rise Project Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    End Results Expected

    • Carry out needs assessment and reviews in communities to determine development interventions that are required  and are consistent with WV Ghana strategic plan
    • Reviews conducted and incorporated into the  RISE  Project model
    • Coordinate the preparation of Education and Life Skills projects plans and budgets within the cluster.
    • All components of the RISE TP methodology implemented and assuring the full fidelity of the project model.
    • Ensure availability of qualitative and quantitative Education and Life Skills data and information for input into Horizon and CWBT report.
    • Take part in the data collection and reported accordingly in Horizon
    • Build capacity of Development Facilitators, volunteers, communities, Church and Government partners and other partners in Education and Life Skills issues.
    • Volunteers, teachers, church and Government partners  and  teachers trained to incorporate the five key reading components in their lessons.
    • Participate in children mapping and monitoring processes in communities to ensure participation of children (including RC and the most vulnerable) and their families in AP activities.
    • Children monitored and RCs intentional covered and accounted for.
    • Facilitate communication between RC and their sponsors and ensure that Sponsorship Key Performance indicators are met in all the communities  forming the Area Programme.
    • Strong relationship built between community stakeholders and implementation partners such as GHS, GES, Birth and Deaths department,  and the Environmental Health Unit  Services.
    • Participate in RC registering, monitoring and data processing for marketing.
    • RCs  are registered and monitored and data collected for marketing
    • Ensure implementation of Audit and Risk Assessment recommendations in Education and Life Skills projects and their impact areas within the cluster.
    • Audit and Risk recommendations in Education and Life skills implemented.
    • Facilitate and report (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually) on Education and Life Skills activities, outputs and outcomes in Aps communities.
    • Monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports on Education and Life skills submitted on a timely basis.
    • Ensure effective  representation of World Vision at the Area Programme  level related to Education & Life Skills and report on them to the Programme Manager.
