    Category Lead

    Job Description

    Able to:

    The Role:

    • The Category Lead is the key point of contact for the client and fully understands the client’s brand, business and category dynamics in the CWA region.
    • Acting as the client partner for growth, the Category Lead leverages support from the multidisciplinary agency team & the Publicis global network to provide carefully considered, quick to market solutions based on the agreed annual scope of work and beyond.
    •  The Category Lead understands what clients would rate as ‘great’ - and[SC2] [SC3] works[SC4] with clients to create break-through[SC5] communications by leading[SC6] and motivating agency teams to meet and exceed those expectations.
    • Coordinating the response to briefs, the Category Lead guides, challenges and inspires the work carried out by creative, production, digital and planning teams so that outstanding, holistic solutions are produced, approved and translated into campaigns for market or regional implementation across CWAR.

    Scope:

    • The Account Lead successfully manages an entire Nestlé category (eg culinary, dairy, coffee, infant nutrition) for the CWAR region. Whether the projects are large of small, the Category lead manages the projects with diligence and attention to detail.
    • He/she is expected to nurture and cultivate senior level client relationships and is responsible for day-to-day aspects of the client’s business as well as ownership and delivery of the scope of work.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead the client agency collaboration of writing the brief
    • Ensure clear stakeholder alignment on available budget and timescales for the campaign
    • Ensure client & agency teams are aware of the timeframes involved for legal/regulatory review across CWAR, approvals and any associated costs
    • Ensure client feedback on each creative idea is delivered immediately and correctly[SC7] to agency and third party teams as appropriate.
    • Support client on development and use of [SC8] research stimulus and the related costs/timings involved with the production of these
    • Work with the client to create a joint picture of what “good” and “fantastic” look like [SC9]
    • Manage and track agency fee on the category with clear intent of mining for scope for revenue uplift.
    • Participate in the quarterly business reviews on client’s business
    • Manage and own the scope of work and key KPI’s mutually agreed between agency client teams.
    •  Manage the bi-annual agency client evaluation process

          Managing Process:

    • Responsible for Managing brand/business scope of work and Out of Scopes
    • Manage[SC10] all stakeholders (client, Groupe, agency internal, third party)
    • Schedule and champion internal agency reviews prior to client presentations
    • Schedule, prepare for and present during weekly status meetings with client.
    • Ensure that the agency draws on the global brand teams in Publicis Paris (and the wider global network where necessary) through scheduled weekly check ins and scheduled sharing of status reports.
    • Ensure that key milestones such as business reviews, market visits, competitor reviews are managed and followed up.
    • Ensure delivery of a creative solution which is relevant to the client’s business/brand by working with Planning and Creative to gain a thorough understanding of the client's commercial macro/micro environment, competitor behaviour and positioning
    • Manage the agency creative, digital and production teams to ensure critical timings are met
    • Utilise research from Planning to ensure comms ideas/creative material will be effective in contributing to the success of client’s business/brand
    • Attend preproduction meetings with agency departments and client to present production script, shot list, and a detailed production estimate for client approval
    • Work collaboratively with agency departments to schedule a date and time to shoot campaign upon client approval
    • Partner with creative, planning, digital and production teams to produce conversation changing campaign materials for client campaigns.
    • Ensure all disciplines are well briefed in sufficient time and working in the same direction, to the same time and budget limitations, raising concerns before they become client facing issues
    • Present final edited creative work to client and gain approval
    • Orchestrate day to day delivery of projects across several disciplines
    • Ensure client is aware of progress and hitches at all times
    • Maintain the highest standards of creativity and quality throughout the development ?and implementation of all work

    Project Manager

    PURPOSE OF ROLE:

    • To effectively plan all projects within the Nestle Scope Pipeline. Own the Nestle Project Master Plan.
    • Interface with Client BEOs and respective Marketing Managers on status of projects and prioritize work across portfolio on a regular, structured and on-going basis.
    • To be the lead on all Nestlé projects internally and externally. The individual is required to hold knowledge on the status of all Nestlé projects/briefs/requests – including knowing time required per project type, agreed delivery dates, campaign roll out plans for regional or market deployment.
    • Actively manage project retro plans together with Category Leads, Production, Media, Strategy and digital teams.
    • Collaborate closely with all external partners, ensuring all comms delivery is well integrated.
    • Supervise Production / third party project schedules/ commitments and support in the delivery of shoots (TV, Radio, Stills), illustrations, and Animatic schedules.
    • Champion weekly status meeting with Full Agency and Client teams.
    • Organize interdepartmental catch-up/check in meetings with Category Managers, Creative and Digital on all key projects.
    • Continuously monitor and evaluate our project management approach and suggest on-going improvements on a quarterly basis.
    • Create an agency wide culture of project management.
    • Collaborate with Category Managemers and client BEO’s, Marketing Managers and Procurement teams to review scopes with client on a quarterly basis.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • MUST have a strong personality.
    • Excellent, open, confident communicator
    • Strong leadership skills, tenacious and the ability to deal with pressure
    • Energetic, enthusiastic, willing “to go the extra mile”.
    • Pro-active with a great a sense of urgency
    • Detail orientated
    • Organizing, planning, control and administrative skills are essential
    • Deep understanding of the agency culture, credentials, philosophy, working tools and worldwide knowledge
    • This position requires knowledge of integrated comms delivery according to BBNW plans.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Own the Nestle Project Master Plan
    • Facilitate weekly project/status meetings and engage key internal and external stakeholders using the project retro plans.
    • Facilitate monthly project meeting with BEOs & Marketing Managers
    • Working closely with agency teams to ensure that all projects are scheduled timeously.
    • Tracking creative briefings, reviews and presentations deadlines are met.
