    Risk and Business Control Director

    The successful candidate will join our team as a Director for Risk and Business Control in the Finance Department. (S)He will report to the Chief Finance Officer and will be responsible for the key governance and risk functions of Internal control, revenue & billing assurance and MFS risk. The successful candidate will also be in charge of corporate internal control to foster an efficient internal control and risk management culture in his operations. (S)He would as well ensure implementation and compliance with the JV’s policies, procedures and best practices to secure our revenues and strengthen the business operations and environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Drive implementation of the “ICE” across the business: run assessment programs to confirm maturity.
    • Lead business process reviews and risk assessments in the organization. 
    • Develop roadmap to improve RA maturity across all BU’s and revenue streams.
    • Devise strategies and roll out mechanisms to prevent fraud along the revenue life cycle.
    • Improve network and billing assurance across streams.
    • To systematically analyze possible revenue risks and revenue additions within the company.
    • Provide strategic roadmaps to identify high risk areas & processes for revenue leakage and establish methods for detection, measurement & monitoring.
    • Provide guidelines (control objectives, risks to be covered, good practices…) to ensure that internal control is integrated in the activities, with efficient and effective control designs.
    • Devise strategies to improve upon Revenue Assurance & Business Controls Maturity.
    • Automate and standardize key Revenue Assurance Activities

    Required Qualification and Experience

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    CORE COMPETENCIES

    • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or Computer Science. An MBA/MSc in Finance or Risk preferred.
    • Professional certification in Audit, Accounting, Risk will be an added advantage
    • Minimum of 8 years relevant working experience in internal control and risk
    • Experience in internal audit, risk/controls analysis, compensation accounting, and revenue assurance.
    • Broad knowledge of operations activities.
    • Process Experience with project management and problem solving as well as running complex finance processes
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Strong knowledge of Excel is a plus (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) as well as PowerPoint 
    • Knowledge of regulatory environment and key compliance rules in financial services.

    Direct Sales Supervisor - Central

    The successful candidate will join as a Direct sales supervisor in the sales and distribution department. (S)He will support Regional Sales Manager to achieve activation and sales objectives. Also working in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, (s)he will continually improve the present and future performance of the business.     Project Accountant - DIVL

    The successful candidate will join our team as an Accountant for Project in the Finance Department. (S)He will report to the Chief Finance Officer and will be accountable for monitoring the progress of projects, looking into variances, approving outgoing inclusive of expenses, and ensuring that project billings are issued to clients and payments collected.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Keeping complete accounting records of the project to be able to prepare an audited financial statement at the end of the year.
    • Looking after and maintaining the project reports for the steering committee.
    • Maintaining all relevant income and expenditure for each project.
    • Analyzing all project expenses and providing summaries and commentary.
    • Looking after project records and contracts to ensure terms are adhered to.
    • Reviewing current processes for management accounts preparation and streamlining across business
    • Implementing decisions of the board/steering committee.
    • Liaising with auditors.
    • Ensuring robust financial and Management reporting across the Joint Venture.
    • Business Partnering with non-finance managers in order to develop processes and the understanding of financial requirements.

    Required Qualification and Experience

    • CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified accountant
    • Moderate Project Management skills
    • Process mapping and implementation experience
    • Self-motivated and a person with some minimal supervision
    • Change management on a large scale
    • Very strong technical skills in accounting
    • Advanced Excel/systems skills

    Business Intelligence Analyst

    The successful candidate will join as an Analyst for the Business Intelligence sector in the Marketing Department. (S)He will report to the Head of Business Intelligence and Analytics and will work closely with the Head, Business Intelligence and Analytics to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to drive sound business decisions making.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Partner with BI analysts, managers, and business team members to build analytical solutions to deliver on business goals
    • Assist in running quality checks and validate data generated on BI
    • Report daily data issues to supervisor and follow up with resolutions with IT (MIS)
    • Support the Business Intelligence Supervisor to direct, organize, and lead BI work stream projects in the implementation and use of new BI software tools and systems
    • Collating a list of report owners from both business and IT
    • Analyze large, complex data sets and convert them into insights that drive business decisions at all levels of the organization
    • Monitor the BI Tool for effectiveness and accuracy and generate insights on performance and trends of new and existing products/promos for various Revenue Buckets
    • Update and share a daily dashboard with the Business Intelligence Supervisor on the status of all Marketing Reports (availability/consistency of updates per schedule/accuracy)
    • Write reports and create/deliver presentations to the Business Intelligence Supervisor and other analysts in ways that support problem solving and planning

    Required Qualification and Experience

    CORE COMPETENCIES

    • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related field
    • 2 years’ relevant work experience working within a Telecom, FMCG organization or with MIS
    • Minimum of 2 years telecom experience working in a commercial function

    Head General Accounting

    • Work closely with the Credit Control function to ensure that receivable balances are maintained within acceptable Limits.
    • Responsible for the recognition of doubtful debts provisions at each month end.
    • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
    • Produce accurate and timely reports as requested and scheduled which provides clear visibility into the performance of various receivable streams.
    • Maintain fully reconciled roaming and interconnect receivable balances with the roaming & interconnect clearing houses.
    • Generate and review various GL reports including cash collection reports, aging reports, advances not yet utilized, and employee balance reconciliations and provide the same to higher management with explanations for variances.
    • Perform sub ledger reconciliations with general ledger and minimize unreconciled balances to the level of zero.
    • Champion the implementation of all business controls specific to the enterprise business.
    • Support the working capital management of the business by providing clear timely reports into on receivable trends.
    • Work closely with IT, Revenue Assurance and Revenue Reporting Team to ensure accurate booking of cost and revenue in respect of interconnect, roaming and Fixed services for month-end financial reporting.
    • Closely engage with Revenue Assurance and Interconnect Partners to ensure proper dispute management.
    • Provide early warning signs for finance by generating weekly reports clearly highlighting bad debt exposure.
    • Ensure daily bank reconciliations and resolution of all open issues.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Economics or a Business-related field.
    • ACCA, CIMA or ICAG (Final Level).
    • 4-6 years’ work experience in a similar role.

    Required Qualification and Experience
