    Business Improvement Data Technician(20753)

    Role Purpose

    • To provide support for data collection, input, and analysis to support implementation of critical improvement projects / ideas that deliver and promote a culture of sustainable continuous improvements (CI) across site.

    Role Accountabilities

    • Support departmental continuous improvement sustainability tasks and processes towards achieving key Business Improvement metric targets  
    • Conduct relevant data collection, data inputting into the relevant database and data analysis to complement site Analyze & Improve efforts.
    • Assist in business requirements reports and presentations as and when required by the department.
    • Assist departmental IFs in loading and completing Operational Excellence idea requirements in PIPware.
    • Conduct periodic analysis using PIPware data to enhance integrity and fast track idea velocity.
    • Use the existing (and other) analytical tools to develop and implement efficient business processes at the operational level in mining, processing, engineering, and supporting services.

    Person’s Specification

    Qualification

    • Minimum of Higher National Diploma in Statistics or Accounting with knowledge in statistics

    Experience

    • At least one year post qualification experience in data capturing and statistical analysis.

    Technical Competencies

    • Must possess valid Ghanain Driving Licence to operate Light Vehicle
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of PIPware software and Control Chart (Power BI)
    • Building Effective Working Relationships - The ability to build and maintain effective collateral and cross-functional working relationship, coach and develop a team to deliver at their highest capability

    Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist(20770)

    ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT

    • The purpose of the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist role is to lead development and execution of performance and impact measurement of the mine’s socio-economic contribution in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); Environment, Economic, Social, and Governance (EESG) criteria, National and Local Development Plans and other relevant frameworks with the objective of ensuring that host communities are resilient and self-sustaining and consequently the social license of the mine is sustainably secured.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Conduct risks assessment for all tasks and ensure they are controlled before and during task execution.
    • Report all incidents and ensure they have been investigated and corrective actions completed on time
    • Act on all corrective actions assigned and ensure timely completion.
    • Conduct formal meetings with team and report any weakness in the environmental procedures
    • Investigate all environmental incidents in assigned work areas and prepare reports with recommendations for the Departmental Manager for onward submission to the Environmental Manager or his representative
    • Develop and implement Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) systems across the value chain of the mine’s operation in the line with the ESG criteria and SDGs
    • Coordinate formulation of Community Investment Projects/Programmes and/repackaging of interventions into projects/programmes to ensure impact measurement and reporting
    • Ensure compliance of Community Investment programmes/projects with relevant legal, regulations, industry standards and organizational policies
    • Develop and implement plans for programmes/project baselines and evaluations
    • Carry out analysis of M&E data and prepare standard reports to communicate impact
    • Oversee the knowledge management process for community investment programmes and projects

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Qualification

    • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Social Science, or Monitoring and Evaluation or related field

    Experience 

    • 5 years’ experience in similar line of work
    • Hands on experience in formulation and implementation of development programmes/projects
    • Hands on experience in design and implementation of M&E systems
    • Experience in participatory methodologies and their application
    • Demonstrated expertise in rigorous quantitative and qualitative research and analytical methods
    • Hands on experience in standard report writing and presentation
    • Knowledge of SDGs and EESG and their application in programme development
    • A good experience and knowledge of the mining value chain and the social performance requirements
    • Knowledge of internationally applicable standards relevant to sustainable development (ICMM, IFC, ESG and SDG on Social Performance, VPSHR, GEITI etc.)
    • A good knowledge of shared value-driven community investment
    • Knowledge of the development planning process of the MMDAs
    • Ability to work in a team

    • Programme/project design and management skills
    • Participatory Methodologies and their application
    • Demonstrated statistical analysis skills and use of relevant software (SAS, SPSS, etc).
    • Strong qualitative research skills

    Security Officer – Investigations(13624)

    ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT

    • To assist the Security Superintendent – Investigations to ensure the successful investigation of all cases and to provide support in the implementation of mitigation measures to reduce risk including information gathering, criminal and disciplinary action of all cases as applicable.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Model behaviour that is consistent with the AngloGold Ashanti Safety Vision and Values
    • Contribute to the identification of safety risks and resolve and escalating emerging issues that impact on area of accountability
    • Maintain processes to provide a safe workplace e.g. leading safety toolbox talks, inspecting planned task observations, reviewing job safety analysis documentation and conducting work inspections to all employees and external service providers undertaking work within your area of accountability to reduce the number  of significant hazards towards zero lost time injuries
    • Set safety goals annually for area of accountability
    • Manage the intake and preliminary evaluation of incoming investigations
    • Categorize and enter the incoming investigations into the current tracking database and ensure timely case updates are entered
    • Conduct security and other investigations (Compliance, HR, etc.)assist with coordination other security services (e.g intellectual Property or Computer Forensics, Education and Training) as called upon
    • Assist in developing the annual budget
    • Assist in the forecasting of next budget cycle requirements
    • Continuously identify and maintain cost savings initiatives

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Qualification

    • A working knowledge in the Laws and Justice System of Ghana

    Experience 

    • Three (3) to five (5) years’ investigation experience in Police, Military, EOCO, BNI or the extractive industry
    • Experience and training in self-defence tactics
    • Experience in investigation techniques (questioning and interviewing skills)
    • Experience in forensic auditing
    • Valid Ghanaian driver’s license

    Technical Competencies

    • Ability to plan and execute complex investigations and submit reports leading to sound recommendations to mitigate risk
    • Knowledge in developing crime management plans and implementation of mitigating plans
    • Experience in project management of projects with a high level of complexity
    • Sound understanding of the mining value chain and impacts of Security Management
    • Sound knowledge of the Regulatory and Legal regime as applies to the mining industry
    • Knowledge of emergency management
