    Commercial Reporting and O2C Mgr

    Description

    Role purpose: 

    • Supervise the ordering, billing to payment process of Vodafone Ghana customers (Exception of Postpaid & Wholesale)
    • Oversee the accurate, timely and complete reporting of revenues and its deferral.
    • Lead the complete, accurate and timely accounting of cash receipts and accounts receivable transactions while working collaboratively with credit & collections and other stakeholders to ensure recoverability of balances.
    • Bad debt management and reporting
    • Manage timely computation and payment of commissions to sales agents and commissions policy review to ensure cost effectiveness and alignment with company strategies prior to implementation.

    Job Responsibility

    • Key accountabilities and decision ownership 
    • Manage the vetting and approval of airtime & device sales orders for dealers, e dealers, franchisees, corporate customers and other one time
    • customers.
    • Ensure bank guarantees for all distributors/dealers are valid and kept up to date while maintaining all debts owed within the guaranteed limit.
    • Supervise the daily billing/invoicing of customers (all customers outside
    • the CBS billing system)
    • Oversee interconnect partner reconciliations, Invoicing and netting
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all daily payment postings into
    • SAP from the various sources including RMS, Vodafone Cash and other 3rd Party channels like Express pay, E transact.
    • Work collaboratively with the credit & collections team to resolve all customer payment related disputes, customer payment related disputes
    • Supervise weekly reconciliation of all airtime sales to ensure completeness of customer invoicing.
    • Overall monitoring of monthly deferred revenue movements between SAP and subsystems.
    • Review the adequacy of provision based on monthly assessment of receivable balances.
    • Supervise periodic commission computations for Vodafone Sales Agents and staff. 
    • Review the adequacy of accruals held for commissions monthly.
    • Manage and implement the end--to--end financial activities including accounting, budget analysis and reporting
    • Preparation of financial reports and responsibility for reporting on a quarterly basis to the Board of Directors on all finance related matters
    • Leading financial statement audits of the Foundation.
    • Customers and Third Parties
    • Collaborate effectively with other departments within Vodafone Ghana to facilitate accurate and timely accounting for financial transactions
    • Provide relevant documentations required for internal & external audit purposes.
    • Work with SSC to reconcile all relevant accounts.

    • Establish and maintain good working relations with other employees within the Finance Operations Team, Shared Service Centre, and externally with Revenue Management, Credit and Collections, Commercial& Enterprise Business Units

    • Contribute toward developing strong controls for financial processes and improving accurate recording of financial transactions.

    Must have technical / professional qualifications:

    • Post/Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or comparable education
    • Qualified CA/ACCA Accountant or equivalent
    • Minimum 5 years' work experience with at least 2 years in an accounting or a similar finance role
    • Proven ability to manage multiple competing deliverables.
    • Telecom industry experience a Plus
    • Computer literate, strong in Excel, Word and PowerPoint 
    • Good communicator, both written and oral - Confident in liaising at all levels  
    • Proven analytical skills, and the ability to work well under pressure to extremely tight deadlines.
    • To have good understanding of financial transactions and accounting for them
    • Experience in reconciliation and reporting
    • To be knowledgeable in the use of ERP accounting systems preferably SAP

    Desk Based Account Manager (Contract)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Typically responsible for a small number of medium sized accounts, or in some instances, as the single point of contact for one large client e.g. a government body. You will carry a percentage of the sales team opportunities and revenue target
    • To be responsible, as part of an overall account team from the desk, customer satisfaction to their nominated clients.
    • To be responsibility for outbound sales prospecting and opportunities.
    • Sales optimisation - provide support to VBS sales team e.g. developing sales database of key contacts, dealing with ad hoc operational requests that come to VBS and reporting for the Sales team
    • To be responsible for visiting 10 small customers ‘Face to Face’ infrequently.
    • To inputs incidence into CRM and follow up daily to know the status of each application and make the necessary correction at the various stage
    • To order for hardware through SAP- Entries unto SAP sheet and ordering of hardware
    • Fully support wide range of administrative duties for AMs

    Other Duties

    • Entry of applications in the UNICON/ SIBEL CRM for new and additional
    • Using SIBEL CRM / UNICON for entries of RBT/BULK SMS
    • Creating customers on SIBEL CRM / UNICON
    • Sending of the one-offs and contract to RA-Revenue Assurance) for loading
    • Receiving of faulty phones from customers at the reception and reporting through an excel sheet to be sent repair
    • Attending to customers complaints and channeling them to the right stakeholder to ensure customer satisfaction from front desk
    • Receiving of termination/cancellation of contract letter from the reception and forwarding to products for the necessary action to be taken
    • Receiving upgrade/downgrade letters from customers and entering in CRM to be done
    • Receiving of mail/letters from all the retail shops in Accra for complaints such as bundle not loaded/delay in loading, wrong loading, CUG not working, SIM registration failed, customers inability to make calls or receive, invalid Sims and others and ensuring provisioning attends to them.
    • Follow up on bill for customers awaiting their bills to make payments
    • Logging of customers missing numbers in CRM for SIM swap
    • Receiving of calls from customers for complaints and finding solutions to them
    • Keeping SIMs card still activation and handset is ready to be delivered to customer
    • Informing customers of any change made on application, getting enough information for request to be complete for other department to carry on such as good location, correct postal address, correct ID number, transfer of existing credit on customers’ lines and other necessary detail which shall be needed
    • Performing of other functions as may be assigned daily or from time to time
    • Attending to walk in customers at the front desk
    • Preparing reports for the team on work done as a team
    • Working on all after sales issue from all retail shops
    • Business Impact
    • Drives business growth for Vodafone by closing contracts, either as part of an overall account team via recognised hand offs or closing own contracts where acting as the single point of contact
