    Global Environmental Specialist

    The Opportunity 

    • As the Global Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the commitments Plan International has made on the greening of operations and programmes. 
    • You will be responsible for collating, monitoring and responding to internal environmental sustainability information and reports from Plan entities across the globe as well as preparing reports and representations for communication across relevant events and networks.  

    About You 

    • With demonstrable experience gained through working in environmental sustainability and humanitarian response & recovery and/or community resilience programming. You will have knowledge and awareness of environmental management and reporting systems, emerging standards, and best practices in the area of greener programming - reducing environmental impacts and addressing environmental risks. Familiarity of cross-cutting environmental topics for the development and humanitarian sector, such as waste management, household energy, nature-based solutions and well as of the minimum standards for environmental performance and accountability frameworks.  
    • You will need to have strong analytical skills and ability to communicate the information and to analyse trends in a meaningful way. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to represent Plan International at a global level.     M&E System Business Manager - maternity cover

    The Opportunity

    • As part of the Monitoring Evaluation Research and Learning (MERL) team, the primary role of the M&E System Business Analyst is to understand, maintain and support the Salesforce, Taroworks and OpenFN platforms, known as the “M&E System” from an M&E functional and utilisation perspective.  You will be key in ensuring successful utilisation, adoption and functional deployment, maintenance, and ongoing use of the System, aligned to Plan’s M&E frameworks and operating standards and procedures. 
    • Through Programme Y.O.D.A. (Your Organisation’s Data and Analytics), we are changing our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution; revising our processes and working practices in relation to Finance, Grants, Programmes and Projects, and Supply Chain; and have developed a new Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) solution.
    • As part of Programme Y.O.D.A. you will work closely with the other functional teams that are responsible for components in order to deliver a final end-to-end solution that includes business-approved MERL functionality. In addition, you will be expected to support users in the live PMERL environment as well, including developing custom reports or dashboards as well as support in data analysis on PMERL data.

    The Person

    In order to succeed in this role you will need:

    • Proven experience of supporting M&E and/or Salesforce/Force.com systems in a large and matrix organisation.
    • Knowledge of Monitoring & Evaluation operations, principles, practices and processes.
    • Experienced in the use of reporting tools to develop standard and ad hoc reports.
    • Experience in setting metrics and analytics and the ability to analyse data for operational and strategic decision making.
    • Experienced in providing support to users of complex systems at varying levels of competency.
    • Customer focused and strong stakeholder & user management skills.
    • Excellent understanding and application of MS Excel.
    • Must be adaptable and able to work independently on multiple tasks, prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical skills and robust problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail; accurate and observant.
    • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

    Programme Support and Administration Coordinator

    The Opportunity

    • Plan International’s global strategy applies a full spectrum approach where Disaster Risk Management (DRM)/Humanitarian is an integral part of everything the organization does for children and girls, especially in fragile settings. A new DRM vision was developed in 2018 highlighting Plan’s ambition of becoming a global leader and the NGO partner of choice for promoting gender equality and protecting girls’ rights in disaster and conflict settings, working at the nexus of development and humanitarian efforts.
    • As the Programme Support and Administration Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing administrative, logistical, and financial/grant oversight support, as well as providing  targeted programmatic support depending on the need.
    • You bring previous administration experience with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines and on multiple priorities, with excellent attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills, fluent written and spoken English and the ability to summarise technical issues in simple, accessible language is essential.
    • Knowledge of the humanitarian NGO sector is key and experience in a humanitarian response would be advantageous.

    Global Inclusion Specialist

    The Opportunity 

    • As the Global Inclusion Specialist, you will support the Gender Transformative Policy and Practice Team Department to deliver an inspiring and collaborative approach that supports the integration of inclusion and intersectionality, particularly to Plan International’s programme and influencing work.
    • This work will intentionally build on and strengthen our priority focus on gender equality and girl’s rights as outlined in our global strategy All Girls Standing Strong Creating Global Change and aim to improve the lives of 200 million girls in the next five years.
    • In this global role you will provide technical support and facilitate learning opportunities for staff in order to promote and encourage the application of commitments to inclusion outlined in the established Global Gender Equality and Inclusion Policy, and Plan International’s Gender Transformative Approach

    The Person

    • Strong practical knowledge of the technical area of inclusion and intersectionality (of non-dominant identities), including people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC gained through post graduate study and/or work and lived experience  
    • Demonstrated global/regional experience in taking the lead on Inclusion, especially working to advance the rights of young people who are LGBTQI+ and disability rights across thematic areas of health, education, protection of violence, livelihood.  
    • Knowledge of relevant international frameworks and programme approaches that promote child rights, gender equality, girls’ rights and inclusion.
    • Excellent understanding of tested learning approaches that promote reflective practice and stimulate individual and collective learning.
    • Practical experience in activism and social mobilisation.
    • Effective networking, facilitation, training and collaboration skills, in a fast-paced cross-cultural environment.
    • Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including cross-functional teams.
    • Strong English language skills is essential, while the ability to work in French and/or Spanish, an advantage.
    • Actively promotes diversity, gender equality and inclusion
