    Senior Technician

    Our client is a reputable name in the sales and servicing of heavy machinery within the automotive/automobile industry.

    Scope

    The Senior Technician will be carrying out maintenance work repairs, and troubleshooting on the client’s fleet according to manufacturers’ recommendation and following service objectives set by the company.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Carry out maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of fleet in the workshop and/or at the customer’s premises according to the intervention schedule.
    • Troubleshoot with available diagnosis tools
    • Propose technical recommendations or parts/stock management to the client
    • Gather information from machine operators or users in order to anticipate certain problems and plan methods to resolve these problems.
    • Adhere to the rules and instructions for health and safety in the workplace; maintaining and keeping work tools and work environment clean.
    • Prepare intervention reports to be submitted to the person in charge
    • Report part sales opportunities to the relevant department
    • Conduct necessary repairs and testing vehicles before handing them to customers.

    Requirements

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering or in related subjects.
    • Minimum 5 years’ work experience in truck/machine repairs preferably within the automotive sector.
    • Good knowledge of general mechanics, electricity, hydraulics on trucks and machinery
    • Proficiency in English Language
    • Must be a team player.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to work outdoor/indoor
    • Client and result-oriented
    • Knowledge in equipment and mechanical procedures.
    • Ability to solve problems quickly
    • Excellent work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision

    Technical Trainer

    Reports to: Technical Director

    Our client is a reputable name in the sales and servicing of heavy machinery within the automotive/automobile industry.

    Scope

    The Technical Trainer will undertake the preparation, organization, and evaluation of training programs per the organization standard to equip the after-sales team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and conduct training programs.
    • Evaluate the technical competency level of the technical team together with the After Sales Manager and HQ Technical Service Manager.
    • Collate the development needs of the technical team.
    • Organize end user training sessions for clients.
    • Prepare training materials and classroom agenda
    • Ensure the understanding and deployment of the organizations operations during workshops.
    • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout the course lifecycle.
    • Providing technical expertise to the sales team.
    • Enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills.

    Requirements

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or in any related field of study.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in forestry, machinery, constructions maintenance.
    • Extensive experience in the maintenance, repair and service of heavy machinery and trucks.
    • Proficiency in English and French is an added advantage.
    • Excellent technical reporting and presentation skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Working knowledge in MS Office suite and other related software programs.
    • Open to travel.
