    Vice Principal

    Job Description

    • Assist the Principal of the College, who serves as the executive head, in the overall management, administration, academic and disciplinary issues of the College in accordance with the Colleges of Education Act, 2012 (Act 847) and other regulatory provisions governing Colleges of Education and in relation to the oversight responsibility of the Governing Council of the College.
    • Perform the functions assigned by the Principal of the College.
    • Act in the absence of the Principal of the College.

    Qualification Required & Experience

    • Have good character and a high degree of personal integrity and proven leadership skills.
    • Possess relevant researched Master’s degree in addition to a recognized qualification in teacher education not below a Diploma. A Ph.D degree will be an added advantage.
    • Rank not below Principal Tutor in a College of Education or its comparable grade in other tertiary institution or similar institution/organization.
    • Be a distinguished master teacher and scholar with post qualification experience in teaching, learning and research in tertiary institution.
    • Have at least five (5) years relevant post qualification experience in a senior management position, with good knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing the Colleges of Education in particular and tertiary education in Ghana in general.
    • Be able to complete at least one term of three (3) years before attaining the compulsory retiring age of Sixty (60) years.

    College Librarian

    Job Description

    • Serve as the Professional and Administrative Head of the College Library.
    • Provide leadership in advancing the College’s teaching, learning and research mission through a clear vision of the Library’s role, comprehensive strategic planning, and demonstrate the ability to incorporate emerging technologies and sound fiscal management in engaging the College community.
    • Draw and monitor the implementation of the approved College Library Strategic Plan.
    • Establish and maintain procedures, policies and systems that make for effective library operation.
    • Supervise staff under the College Libraries to ensure effective and efficient functioning of the Libraries of the College.
    • Maintain links with relevant and appropriate local and international organizations involved in library work to promote an effective and efficient library system of the college.

    Qualification Required & Experience

    • Have good character and a high degree of personal and professional integrity and leadership skills.
    •  Possess researched Postgraduate degree in Library or Information Science related field from a recognized tertiary institution. Membership of a relevant and recognized professional body is an added advantage.
    • Have served as Deputy Librarian or comparable grade in a tertiary institution or similar institution/organisation for at least four (4) years.
    • Be conversant with Library software or Library records management software.
    • Be able to complete at least one term of four (4) years before attaining the compulsory retirement age of Sixty (60) years

    College Finance Officer

    Job Description

    • Be the Head of the Finance/Accounts Department of the College and be responsible to the Principal for the Financial Administration of the College in accordance with the Financial Administration Act 2003, (Act 654) and other financial laws and Regulations in force.
    • Be generally responsible for the administration of the finances of the College that will ensure its financial health.
    • Be responsible for collecting all legitimate revenue due to the College and exercise control over expenditure in line with the College’s objectives and budgets.
    • Be responsible for preparing the annual budget of the College and ensuring that financial statements of the College are drawn in accordance with applicable accounting standards and other relevant regulations in force.
    • Periodically present the state of affairs of the finances of the College to the Council.
    • Ensure that the College’s financial statements are duly audited and reports submitted to the appropriate bodies in accordance with the financial laws and regulations in force.

    Qualification Required & Experience

    • Have good character and a high degree of personal and professional integrity and leadership skills.
    • Possess a Master’s degree and professional qualification in Finance or Accounting or related field.
    • Have served as a Deputy Finance Officer in a tertiary institution or comparable grade in a similar institution/organization for at least four (4) years.
    • Possess strong IT skills and be familiar with accounting software.
    • Be analytical, critical, result-oriented, innovative and visionary.
    • Possess proactive commercial flair to promote Internally Generated Funds for the College.
    • Be able to complete at least one term of four (4) years before attaining the compulsory retirement age of Sixty (60) years.

    College Internal Auditor

    Job Description

    • Be the Head of the Internal Audit Unit of the College and provide independent, objective and consulting services designed to add value and improve the College’s operations and provide a systematic disciplined approach to evaluate and improve risk management, control, and governance processes of the College.
    • Determine the reliability and adequacy of accounting, financial and operational controls in the College and monitor compliance with established policies, plans and procedures to ensure that the internal auditing system of the College is efficient and effective.
    • Exercise pro0fessional and administrative supervision over staff under the Internal Audit Unit.
    • Evaluate the procedures of the College to determine whether results are consistent with the stated objectives and goals, assess the extent to which assets are accounted for and safeguarded against losses and appraise the performance of those carrying out assigned responsibilities.
    • Ensure that reliable records form the basis for the preparation of appropriate financial and other data provided for decision-making.
    • Draw the Principal’s attention to deficiencies in the system with recommendations for remedies where necessary.
    • In accordance with the Internal Audit Act 2003 (Act 658) and in conformity with standards and procedures, carry out periodic internal audit of the College and submit reports to the College Council and the Audit Agency.

    Qualification Required & Experience

    • Have Good Character and a High Degree of Personal and Professional Integrity with Leadership Skills.
    • Hold a Master’s Degree and a Professional qualification in a relevant field.
    • Have served as a Deputy Internal Auditor in a tertiary institution or comparable grade in a similar institution/organization for at least four (4) years.
    • Possess strong IT skills and be familiar with relevant accounting software.
    • Be able to complete at least one term of four (4) years before attaining the compulsory retirement age of Sixty (60) years.
