    Project Management Associate

    Roles And Responsibilities

    • Research, identify, and build relationships with potential new clients and partners, leveraging a variety of approaches including events, networking, and cold calling to market the Cocoalink App.
    • Assist in developing strategies and solutions that meet the needs of potential clients, and communicating these effectively through proposals and presentations
    • Analyze the market for the Cocoalink project, identify all risks and prepare risk mitigation strategies
    • Manage all resources efficiently and assist the project team to resolve all requests from project partner and clients.
    • Documents all project deliverables and prepare appropriate time schedule and provide estimates on all costs and oversee the work of all third party consultants.
    • Maintain all work according to the project schedule and perform research on various activities for effective implementation of projects
    • Prepare project status reports on a monthly basis

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors or Masters Degree in an appropriate field of study
    • Proven experience in managing, or assisting in managing, short- or long-term field projects
    • Excellent project management and coordination skills; the ability to designate success metrics, strategies to achieve metrics, and ability to motivate team members to participate enthusiastically
    • Writing and presentation skills; especially budget and report writing
    • Advanced Excel and Powerpoint
    • Strategic flexibility and cross-cultural sensitivity, particularly when under-pressure
    • Time management, teamwork and problem-solving skills

    Project Coordinator

    The overall purpose of the Project Coordinator role is to ensure the effective management and implementation of Farmerline's project objectives. Farmerline's projects centre around Farmerline's B2B and B2F products which include the Mergdata platform, customized software services, professional services (such as business model development and advisory services) as well as farmer services (mobile information services, resource distribution, access to finance). The Project Coordinator will manage team members in the direct implementation of various projects. This is included but not limited to organizing meetings, setting and working towards deadlines, updating project work plans and ensuring that all necessary parties are aware of project developments.

    The Project Coordinator is also responsible for bringing visibility to Farmerline's mission to build strong relationships with clients and to facilitate transparent communication on effective impact development (increase the livelihood of smallholder farmers) and the partners' project needs and goals (efficiency, transparency, reporting etc.)

    A successful Project Coordinator will have strong cross-cultural communication and coordination skills, the ability to transition seamlessly between strategic big-picture thinking and detailed analysis, and a passion for bringing Farmerline's services worldwide.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure all project objectives are met and project deliverables are implemented in a timely and efficient manner taking into account budget development and monitoring.
    • Write and edit project workflow procedures and ability to use and implement workflow/strategy software.
    • Train team members on project and portfolio management and track quality assurance statistics.
    • Ensure preparation and execution of work plans, following contracts and other relevant legal documents.
    • Develop slide decks, hold presentations, maintain websites and prepare marketing materials to update shareholders and partners on a project's status.
    • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders (NGOs, Companies, Government institutions) and ensure smooth and clear communication on project status to all relevant parties involved.
    • Become fully conversant on Corporate and Farmer Services operations, historical and current, to be able to advise on project management and portfolio creation and areas of improvement and potential future innovation.
    • Create visibility on projects and establish relevant case studies for marketing and branding purposes.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelors or Masters Degree in an appropriate field of study
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
    • 1-3 years experience in managing, or assisting in managing, short- or long-term field projects
    • Excellent project management and coordination skills; ability to designate success metrics, strategies to achieve metrics, and ability to motivate team members to participate enthusiastically
    • Writing and presentation skills; especially budget and report writing
    • Advanced Excel and Powerpoint
    • Strategic flexibility and cross-cultural sensitivity, particularly when under-pressure
    • Time management and problem-solving skills
