    Chief Accountant

    Functional Responsibilities

    • Preparation of financial statements.
    • Ensuring that transactions are recorded and treated within relevant accounting framework such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other regulatory reporting guidelines.
    • Management of external auditors during annual external audits and certification of financial statements.
    • Treasury management system including cash flow forecasting.
    • Ensures taxes are accurately computed and filed in accordance with the Ghana tax act.
    • Management of tax authorities during tax audits.
    • Reviews and assess the reasonability of expense vouchers before approval.
    • Monthly payroll preparation.
    • Approving and sanctioning all journal entries in the Company’s accounting software.
    • Supervises the finance team
    • Bank reconciliation
    • Responsible for all month end financial accounting closure procedures.
    • Examining and flagging unusual activity on the various General Ledgers.
    • Prepare fixed asset schedules for additions and disposals.
    • Stock Management: Input of monthly yam pallet usage and reconciliation of physical stock.
    • Manage accruals, preparing schedules of import files and importation into sage.


    • A minimum of a first degree in Accounting or a related subject
    • Must be a chartered accountant (ACCA, ICA)
    • At least eight (8) years' professional experience in a similar role with a reputable institution; three (3) of which must be in a managerial capacity.
    • Experience working in a logistics industry/FMCGs would be a plus
    • A sound understanding of Ghanaian taxation system.
    • Knowledge of SAP ERP System and Sage Accounting Software.

    Assistant Operations Manager

    Functional Responsibilities Include

    • Planning, coordinating and monitoring execution of container movements from one site to another.
    • Obtaining and presentation of loading list and advices for planning.
    • Positions tally clerks, takes statement of facts, checks discharging and loading positions at internals to enable determine expected time of departure.
    • Preparing of discharging and loading summary to generate out-turn report;
    • Controls stock of equipment.
    • Collate daily port situation/activities (i.e. vessel movements in the Port) to ascertain berthing prospects.
    • Prepares vessel’s essential boarding documents before its arrival/berth;
    • Performs all pertaining boarding duties upon vessel arrival/berth
    • Prepares necessary documentations before vessel sails;
    • Summarizes discharging and loading activities to generate the various reports


    • A minimum of first degree in Logistics or any related course.
    • At least five (5) years' professional experience in a supervisory capacity in the shipping and logistics industry (ports, terminals).
    • Professional certification or license from a recognised international institution (e.g. CILT).
    • Training certification on industry Safety will be an advantage.
    • Training on and experience undertaking Performance Analysis will be an added advantage.
    • Must be flexible with time, willing be on call most times.
    • Proficiency in using SAP or similar ERP software.
    • Must be computer literate with advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows
