    Human Resource Manager (Food Processing company)

    Job Description

    • The Human Resource Manager reports directly to upper management and the CEO. In this position, you will be responsible for processing payroll and building and effectively managing interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in human resource in the food processing and manufacturing industry.


    • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
    • Manage the recruitment, selection process, and onboarding processes
    • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital
    • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems and tactics, and procedures across the organization
    • Nurture a positive working environment, implement and foster a company culture that values sustainability, high performance, high growth, learning, and a conscious approach
    • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
    • Organize training and development programs
    • Manage, mediate and resolve conflicts, grievances, confrontations, or disagreements in a constructive manner
    • Ensure update and adherence of all personnel administration policies, processes, systems, and procedures
    • Develop succession plans for key critical positions to understand gaps, and appropriately manages talent flows in the organization
    • Provide opportunities for continuous learning in the organization
    • Translate and manage the change effort into a step-by-step implementation plan for the organization
    • Keep up to date with best HR practices, especially as it relates to the regional context & responsible for the implementation of select HR practices
    • Liaise with Heads of Department to develop job descriptions and templates for measuring performance for all staff
    • Ensure legal compliance through human resource management
    • Manage offboarding processes


    • A bachelor’s degree in human resource management, labor relations, organizational development, organizational management, business or related field
    • 3 or more years of work experience in a food processing and manufacturing industry
    • Must have a strong leadership experience
    • Must have the ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, growth, learnings and teamwork
    • Must have excellent listening and negotiation skills
    • Must be knowledgeable in labor law and HR best practices
    • Must know how to process payroll
    • Must have the ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
    • Must be people oriented; have good human relationship skills
    • Must have strong communication skills; both oral and written
    • Must have good knowledge of Remuneration, Talent Management, Transformation, Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Change Management and Performance Review Management
    • Must have strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills

    Food Production Manager

    Job Description

    • The Processing Manager reports directly to upper management and the CEO. In this position you will be responsible for managing the processing operations of its products. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in the food processing, food, and beverage industry and also possess strong problem-solving skills relating to food processing.The candidate should have experience in inventory management, budget preparation and quality control


    • Manage a team of at least 6 members to prepare products, manage inventory and be efficient in maximizing sales
    • Train and retrain processing staff, implement protocol changes across a team
    • Following the recipe in making dishes with consistency in taste, appearance, and presentation.
    • Track raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials’ inventories
    • Prepare processing budget
    • Support for the establishment and maintenance of food safety systems
    • Support for new products innovations
    • Run processing facility operations and keep the facility in order
    • Act as the first line of support for troubleshooting and resolving processing issues
    • Support for conducting sensory evaluations
    • Document & organize information such as health & safety instances, protocols, protocol changes, recipes, sensory feedback, customer feedback
    • Prepare existing and new products under strict hygienic protocols
    • Innovate packaging ideas for different sales channels
    • Innovate processes to optimize the efficiency of personnel, ingredients & time
    • Provide support to sales staff
    • Provide support to business development operations


    • A degree in Food science and technology, food processing engineering, or any related field
    • 2 or more years of work experience in the food processing, food, and beverage industry
    • Proven experience in inventory management, budget preparation and production plan scheduling
    • Strong understanding of food safety principles( A food safety certification is an advantage)
    • Proven experience in implementing food quality management systems such as HACCP and ISO
    • Proven experience in scheduling and running routine production activities
    • Must be able to work on weekends
    • Must have a strong leadership experience
    • Strong problem-solving skills relating to food processing
    • Must have experience in managing a team
    • Must have strong verbal and oral communication
    • Must have the ability to report on one’s activities in written and electronic format and the activities of their team
    • Must have customer service experience
    • Must be self-disciplined and have high integrity
