    Warehouse Storekeeper

    ABOUT THIS ROLE:

    • To perform a variety of routine warehouse duties involving the receiving, unloading, inventory, storing, movement and distribution of goods and materials at the warehouse.
    • Actively demonstrate the Newmont values of Safety, Integrity, Sustainability, Inclusion and responsibility at all times.

    IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

    Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures

    • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

    Safety and Compliance

    • Adhere and comply to all stipulated Warehousing and Materials control regulations.
    • Ensure all warehouse operations are in compliance with safety requirements promoting the company’s safety culture.
    • Ensure a clean and tidy workspace is kept at all times.

    Warehouse Operations

    • Receive shipping documents and plans for receipt of items.
    • Receive orders under the supervision of the Warehouse Foreman.
    • Participate in the operation of the site weighbridge.
    • Physically receive and check purchase orders against packing list.
    • Receives items in SAP.

    Training & Experience

    • Minimum academic qualification of Secondary School Leaving Certificate with Mathematics and English (attach certified results).
    • Knowledge of Maintenance Planning.
    • Supply Chain functional knowledge.
    • Knowledge of P2P transactional processes.
    • ERP/EAP System knowledge.
    • Mining business acumen.
    • Warehouse Management
    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in warehousing.
    • Good communication skills.

    Working Conditions

    • Works at the Ahafo / Akyem mine
    • Heat, dust and strenuous activities

    Purchasing Officer

    ABOUT THIS ROLE:

    • To contract on behalf of Newmont, primarily for low spend and/or low risk. To collaborate effectively with all stakeholders in Mining and Maintenance at Subika in order to deliver best outcome of value to their budget, and to verify continuity of supply to all Newmont Africa operations. To facilitate the supply chain deliverables on Supplier Risk Management and Lifecycle procurement and contract Management process.
    • To seek and leverage local, regional and global Newmont procurement opportunities to deliver value for the region.

    IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

    Contracting Process Management

    • Provide information and reports on sensitive contracting activities and progress on projects, including deviations from original contract.
    • Verify that all contracts meet Newmont, local, state and national laws, rules and regulations.
    • Generate Requests for Pricing (RFP’s) which can be converted to Outline agreements contracts.
    • Execute Outline Agreements in a timely manner, which efficiently minimizes future labour and price for administering inventories.

    Communication and Collaboration

    • Communicate purchasing vision and build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders / customers and external business partners.
    • Be responsible for operational engagement with end-users to order to verify continuity of supplier and effective management of budget.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems.
    • Understand end-users budget and proactively plan to deliver value.

    Training & Experience

    YOUR TRAINING, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE CHECKLIST:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
    • Mining experience preferred
    • Strong computer skills using office software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
    • Knowledge of SAP, Ellipse or equivalent enterprise level software packages is necessary.
    • A working knowledge of procurement practices and documentation.
    • Strong knowledge of lifecycle procurement and contract management.
    • Strong knowledge of Supplier Risk Management process.
    • 3-4 years of directly related procurement experience or equivalent combination of training and experience are necessary.

    Contracts Officer

    Process Operations Trainer

    ABOUT THIS ROLE:

    To deliver, conduct and assess theoretical and practical training administered to new employees and contractors on the aspect of mineral processing within Newmont mine

    IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

    Training Planning and Preparation

    • Assist with staff training development needs and identification.
    • Develop lesson plans, tailored to the Process environment within Newmont

    Training Execution

    • Conduct process induction training and other related trainings for both new hires and contractor.
    • Conduct both instructor-led and face-to-face cyanide training for employees and contractors.
    • Conduct Mineral Processing refresher training for current employees and contractors.

    Training Evaluations

    • Prepare and present reports on training outcomes for the Learning and Development Department.
    • Monitor progress of process employees and contractors and provide ongoing training and instruction, as required.

    Training & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mineral Processing.
    • Workplace Trainer and Assessor Certification is preferable.
    • Process Officer Certification (MINCOM).
    • Sound theoretical, practical knowledge and understanding of large-scale gold processing.
    • Sound knowledge of competency-based curricula.
    • Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in an instructional training and delivery environment and concurrent mineral processing background experience
    • Excellent teaching and facilitation skills.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Incumbent may have to work additional hours and days to maintain the integrity of the training program.
    • Incumbent may have to travel to domestic sites in the performance of duties.
