    Assistant Auditor-General- Legal

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the development and implementation of policies – strategic, annual, operational and other plans of the Service
    • Ensure the development and implementation of Annual Legal Plan of the Section
    • Lead the preparation of cases for prosecution and/or defence;
    • Follow-up of judgements of the court;
    • Provide inputs in the develop and implement legal standards, guidelines methodologies as well as the certification of reforms in the public sector financial accounting systems;
    • Provide input in the preparation of Annual Activity and other periodic Progress Reports of the Department for onward submission to the A-G and the ASB
    • Collaborate with the DAG/Legal in the implementation of policies, standards and guidelines on human resource management within the Department.
    • Provide inputs for the preparation of the Annual Budget of the Department

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • A Lawyer called to the Bar
    • A minimum of thirteen (13) years post qualification working experience of which six (6) years must be at a management level.

    Assistant Auditor – Public Affairs

    JOB SUMMARY

    • Plan publicity strategies and campaigns
    • Cover media engagements of the Service
    • Use web analytic tools to answer enquiries from the public, press and related organisations on social media

    Assistant Director – Procurement

    JOB SUMMARY

    • Develop and execute innovative procurement strategies to reflect all departmental and units’ needs.
    • Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify management of any possible obstacles to achieving value for money.
    • Institute policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Public Procurement Act, 2003 Act 663 as amended.
    • Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks.

    Assistant Director – IT

    JOB SUMMARY

    • Develop and implement an information technology strategy that is aligned with the Service’s operations.
    • Provide technology leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that improve cost effectiveness and service quality.
    • Review financial request of all ICT needs and ensure value for money is obtain at all times.
    • Manage purchasing and implementation of ICT software and hardware requirements, and coordinate internal development of software.
    • Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security and disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision.
    • Develop and conduct various training and instruction to assist users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems.
    • Supervise daily activities of ICT support team.
    • Oversee provisioning of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
    • Plan and facilitate staff development and team building.
    • Hands-on deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software and peripherals.
    • Study, develop and coordinate implementation of the linkages between ICT activities with respect to cross-compatibility and use of hardware and software, networks, e-mail groups, web-site design, database design and software development, e-based public information and advocacy campaigns.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • A Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science/Engineering or Business Information Technology from accredited tertiary institution and a Certified Member of an ICT professional body
    • A minimum of eight (8) years post qualification experience in the fields of ICT Infrastructure Programme Development, Web Design and Management, Database Development and Administration, Systems Management, Internet/Intranet Systems, of which 4years must be in middle management position.
    • A Masters Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science/Engineering or Business Information Technology from accredited tertiary institution is an added advantage
