Duties and responsibilities:
- Collects, processes, and handles blood and/or other biological specimens according to established procedures; instructs patients in the proper collection of samples.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the Head, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication in the day-to-day activities in the journalism studios and laboratories.
- Setting up, testing and operating equipment to suit any audio-visual production.
- Guiding students in their practical undertakings.
- Providing technical support during outdoor recording.
- Operate equipment to mix, combine and edit audio-visual productions.
- Ensure smooth functioning of the internet in the studio and laboratory.
- Monitoring the quality of productions for students’ projects and for broadcast.
- Recording and directing productions during events.
- Explore new ICT tools for maximizing effectiveness of the studio activities.
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing studio equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance of all studio equipment including networking.
- Regular supervision and maintenance of computer and related accessories.
- Maintaining studio inventory.
- Supervising students’ practical sessions.
- Participating in maintaining the general safety of the studio
- Performing other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Head, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Qualification
Education, Skills and Experience
Must have:
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies or a relevant field.
- Must have at least three (3) years of experience as a security officer or a comparable position
- Must be computer literate.
OR
- Must have worked with any of the disciplined forces of Kenya or any other reputable security firm
- Must possess a clean discharge certificate
- Must possess a certificate of good conduct
- Must possess first aid certificate
- Must possess fire-fighting certificate
- Must be computer literate.

- Assist in coordinating all the outsourced security services and internal security operations.
- Assist in handling staff security cases and administrative issues.
- Handle general correspondences for security in Liaison with Chief Security Officer.
- Compile monthly security surveys and crime analysis for the chief Security Officer.

Qualification

Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide technical supervision on all livestock and crop agriculture activities in the demonstration farm. Specifically:
- Ensure routine animal care programs including treatments and vaccinations
- Ensure implementation and monitoring of functional and effective biosecurity measures
- Ensure loading and offloading of animals in accordance with established animal welfare practices; and quarantine of all new animals
- Ensure the observance of the five animal freedoms on all occasions
- Anticipate and plan for the appropriate handling of any emergencies that may affect the farm animals
- Ensure planting and maintenance of crops in the greenhouse and farm fields for training and income generation purpose.
- Ensure fodder production, supply, preservation, and utilization for training and production purposes
- Provide space and support students and staff setting up experiments in the open fields and greenhouse
- Keep an inventory of all livestock and crop activities and provide regular reports on all farm activities (production and training)
- Organize and maintain in functional state all farm property and equipment
- Keep a register of all visits to the farm clearly indicating purpose, number and outcome of such visits
- Generate annual farm budget estimates and projected revenues for continued improvement of the farm as a training facility as well as an income-generating activity
- In liaison with course unit lecturers organize, schedule, and ensure field practical’s sessions taking place at the training farm are effectively carried out
- Carry out any other duty as may assigned by the immediate supervisor.
