The Accounts Officer will prepare, review, and Financial project statements & oversee Financial Information at the unit level.
Responsibilities include managing tax payments, timely payment of applicable Statutory dues, and conducting Customer & Supplier reconciliation.
To be successful in this role, you should have an accounting degree and experience as an accountant.
This employee will have a high level of independence and discretionary authority in ensuring all accounting transactions meet ethical standards and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
These responsibilities require attention to detail, excellent writing skills, and close coordination with other professional and technical staff as well as awareness of the local laws.
Responsibilities
Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (Balance sheets and Income statements)
Manage tax payments
Organize internal audits
Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
Analyze financial trends Perform month-end and year-end close processes
Must assist in Audit Practices Internally & externally
Performs cost and other financial analyses to identify areas that can improve the efficiency of resources and operations
Highly motivated, seasoned professional able to function with minimal supervision and across multiple procurement disciplines, in partnership with all levels of the organization
Requirements
Proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software ie. Tally
In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
Solid knowledge of accounting & Statutory laws & other applicable regulations in Ghana
Time-management abilities & Confidentiality
BSc degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field
Skill in written and verbal communication
Ability to multi-task in a diverse environment
Ability to manage time to ensure assignments are completed on or before time
Bachelor's degree from an accredited school with three (3) years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant work/ industry/ job-specific experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential job duties
