Job Description

• Reviews, prepares and posts journal entries
• Reconciles sub-ledger to generate ledger account balances
• Plays a key role in the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes
• Assist with budget preparation and monthly actual vs budget variance analysis
• Assist with assessment of internal controls, including risk assessments and review of risk areas
• Prepares and reviews task returns for various tax agencies
• Maintains and reconciled fixed asset schedules
• Provide assistance to internal and external audit functions including preparation of audit schedule

The Applicant
Qualification Required & Experience

• Must possess a first degree in accounting, or finance, or ICA II, or ACCA II, or CIMA II
• A masters degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field will be an added advantage
• Must have work experience as an accountant do not less than ten(10) years, three (3) years of which should be at management level
• Applicant from the Ghana Education Service must not be below deputy chief accountant
• A working knowledge in basic computer application in word excel, PowerPoint and a software in accounting will be an added advantage

Level Of Responsibility

• Responsible to the General Secretary through the Deputy General Secretary in charge of Finance
