    Administrative Clerk

    About The Job

    Job Summary

    • The U. S. Mission in Accra, Ghana is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Clerk.  

    Duties:

    • The incumbent is responsible for general administrative duties in GSO Property.  
    • S/he is responsible for assigning and tracking work orders and communicating with customers both orally and in writing, which means that this person is the first point of contact with and the face of GSO Property to other sections and agencies in the Embassy.  
    • The incumbent processes Time and Attendance records for the GSO Property section.  
    • S/he produces reports to document the section’s work.

    Requirements
    Eeperience: 

    • A minimum of one year clerical or administrative experience is required.

    Job Knowledge: 

    • Must be familiar with various administrative skills including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite. 
    • Must be skilled in the basic operation of the Internet and able to prioritize multiple tasks.

    Education Requirements:

    • Completion of secondary school is required.

    Evaluations

    • Language:  
      • Good working knowledge (Speaking, reading and written) English is required.  
      • Good working knowledge in at least one (1) Ghanaian language is required  (Language proficiency may be tested).

    Skills And Abilities:

    • Proficient computer skills in basic software programs such as Word, Excel, and other Microsoft applications.  
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  
    • Must be able to work independently and judge situations quickly and correctly. 
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs is required.  
    • Must be able to drive and  hold a valid “Class B” driver’s license. 
    • Computer and driving skills may be tested

    Qualifications:

    • All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
