    Advocacy Officer/Social Worker

    Job Description
    Review  daily children incident reports ( regarding behavior, school performance, attendance and home life)
    Manage database of incident reports
    Make necessary recommendations ( for intervention)  to Facilitators and Management  relating to incident reports
    Mediate issues that arise among children.
    Liaise with community school in which children attend.  ( to ensure children are attending, progressing, and receiving the support they need)
    Community outreach-  Identify children/ families that are in need of our services/program
    Work with staff ( Tutors, Facilitators, to ensure they are providing the services to all beneficiaries)
    Lead workshops that teach best practices for working with children.
    Create weekly outlines for round table discussion with children on issues that will promote moral and social growth.
    Organize and facilitate  seminars, workshops and special activities; that promotes education and human rights of beneficiaries of BASICS (particularly women and children) .

    Requirement/Skills

    • At least 2 years education/work experience
    • Preferably speak GA or other local language
    • Have a strong understanding of the social system in Ghana
    • Have tangible solutions to change social change and empowerment
