This position is mainly responsible for managing the financial actions of the company.
You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams.
The CFO should not only understand current accounting and financial practices and trends in the company but have proven experience raising capital and adapting to change–both in growth and downsizing.
As a member of our senior management, the CFO will work closely with the CEO and COO to ensure financial goals are achieved.
Your Contribution
Develop financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services, preparing growth plans, and directing staff.
Strategically manage all treasury functions – Cash flow management, advising management on short-term and long-term opportunities to support business operations.
Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial management reporting, and liaising with external Auditors, Ghana Revenue Authority, and Registrar Generals’ Department for Statutory compliance.
Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; and accumulating capital to fund expansion.
Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
Establishes finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; analyzing risks; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and trading strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; and implementing change.
Advise on long-term business and financial planning using financial modeling techniques for effective decision making.
Reports financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements.
Strategically lead the development of new financial products and automation strategies, managing demands on capital, and impact to facilities, staff planning and forecasting to support company growth.
Lead the finance and accounting team towards continual improvements of workflows and operational decision-making processes, and development of transparent metrics to support data-driven insights and decisions.
Assess risks and exposure due to business conducted in foreign currency, prepare a report and recommendation for dealing with foreign currencies, and follow and execute the established foreign exchange management policy.
Development of strategies and structures for fundraising and managing investor due diligence process during fundraising rounds.
Build controls to keep a check on processes and regulations, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations and reviewing company records to identify potential risks.
Work with the Director of People and Culture for staff payroll preparation and management of staff benefits.
To succeed you must…..
Have an advanced degree MBA, CPA, CFA or equivalent preferred
Have at least 5 years of relevant experience and progressive responsibility in finance and operations in a senior role.
Have previous working experience as Auditor, financial controller, financial analyst or financial consulting for at least 3 years is a plus.
Have complex financial modeling skills
Be familiar with investment management and project finance management, including financial controls, accounting, auditing, as well as reporting on accruals, pipelines, and expenses.
Have experience with key Accounting software, and Microsoft Office suite with excellent use of spreadsheets.
Have demonstrated knowledge of internal controls and audit processes (e.g. procurement, local subcontract agreements, etc.)]
Be data driven and goal oriented.
Possess excellent and highly effective communication skills.
