    Consumer Solutions Architect

    Description

    • The successful candidate will join our team as an Architect for Customer Solutions in the IT Department.
    • (S)He will report to the Head, Business and Service Support and will be responsible for understanding consumer change needs and assessing the business impact of those changes.
    • (S)He will also be responsible for capturing, analyzing, and documenting requirements and supporting the communication and delivery of those requirements with relevant stakeholders.
    • The Consumer Solutions Architect (CSA) will be responsible for overall consumer-facing application development, Projects, Products & Promotions across all key IT platforms.
    • The successful candidate will also be responsible for translating the requirements into the architecture for the required solution and describing it through the set of design artefacts.
    • (S)He will also ensure all third-party contractual obligations are met.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze and report on daily software issues.
    • Liaise with users on software issues and refer critical issues to the head of CSS.
    • Be involved in programming and reporting especially trade field applications.
    • Be up to date on software-hardware integrations and change management.
    • Collate technical IT reports from the CSS team.
    • Interrelate with other departments and heads of departs based on requests received and forwarded to the CSS team.
    • Maintained a correctly followed organizational flow of information and support to and from the CSS team.
    • Review technical documents in line with all aspects of customer Solution support and prepare them in line with CSS format as a superset of international documentation standards.
    • Developed manuals for systems and solutions developed within the CSS team.
    • Developed training manuals for company users on IT services and solutions.
    • Responsible for the development of reporting procedures for IT services.
    • The Consumer Solution Architect will be required to deliver End-to-End Solutions for the Mobile and Enterprise business and occasionally liaise with the Lead Solution Architect to jointly provide solutions for Business support.
    • They will work closely with commercials and Revenue Assurance Customer care, Go-to-Market, and other internal areas, creating winning proposals and successfully delivering within budget and time.
    • The CSA will be responsible for preparing appropriate software architecture documentation based on the requirements and design elements contained in a system specification and ensuring alignment with the regional system architecture.
    • The CSA will be responsible for ensuring the overall integrity of the proposed software architecture.
    • The CSA will deeply understand AirtelTigo support processes to ensure the most beneficial solution is implemented in the operations.
    • The CSA ensure fact-based compliance of the business requirements, reporting project status, completion and success based on appropriate business KPIs.
    • The SA will document and ensure all business requests and every solution in addition to the respective codes are well documented for future use.
    • The (SA) will be responsible for coordinating efforts with Local Software Architects to maximize benefits and synergies.


    Required Qualification and Experience

    • A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with emphasis in Computer Science or related field (System Engineer, IS Engineer, Information Systems)
    • Engineer, IT Engineer, Network Systems Engineer)
    • Minimum 3 years experience implementing similar solutions
    • Minimum 5 years experience working in the IT industry (Telcos preferably)
    • Strong understanding of project management principles

    • Project Management
    • Expert level in UML (Unified Modeling Language)
    • SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)
    • Strong experience in Business Processes for Telcos (eTom)
    • Expert level in APIs and Integration
