    Deputy Manager Human Resources and Administration

    About the job
    Job purpose/ Objectives 

    • Working with management & HR Consultant to formulate and implement HR strategy & directions for the organization. 
    • Coordinating and overseeing the processing of all matters related to manpower planning, appointments, promotions, and discipline in the organisation. 
    • Managing the day-to-day administration within the Department relating to production of employment contracts, addendums/variations/transfers and associated paperwork, new starts. 
    • Managing staff expectations and maintain good communication between Management and talent in the interest of the business 

    Major Duties 

    • Manage Staff performance in line with Company objectives. 
    • Ensure healthy communication network between Staff and Management. 
    • Develop a proper Learning and Development structure for the Company. 
    • Lead all recruitment process in the Company. 
    • Ensure Conducive working environment. 
    • Supervise all company procurement processes. 
    • Develop content for monthly Staff newsletters. 

    Competency Requirements Knowledge 

    • Good understanding of the ethics and values of the organization 
    • Good appreciation and working knowledge of office productivity tools. 
    • Good knowledge of the HR Laws in Ghana 
    • Good knowledge and understanding of the components and developments in Human Capital management (manpower planning & recruitment, placement, learning and development, performance management, career management, reward and recognition, retention and exit management) 


    • Strong people management skill 
    • Strong business management, entrepreneurial and decision-making skills 
    • Strong planning and organisation skills Sound numerates and accounting skills 
    • Negotiation skill 
    • Good IT skills 
    • Ability to multi-task 
    • Use of initiative 
    • Good record keeping

    Minimum Education and Work Experience 

    • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or equivalent/ related Social Science or Administrative course. 
    • Management or related field with 5 years’ experience in HR. HR experience in a managerial role will be an added advantage. 
    • A member of any HR professional qualifications will be an added advantage (CIHRM, SPHR, etc)
