  • Ghana Book Development Council (GBDC) was established on 20 August, 1975, as an operating agency under the Ministry of Education. The official notice about the setting up of the Council by Executive Instrument was published in Gazette No. 65 of 5th December, 1975. The Council was inaugurated on 2 April 1976 and began full operation in January, 1977

    Distribution Services Manager

    Job Description

    • Promote trade and distribution of books and other educational materials
    • Facilitate the provision of book distribution services
    • Develop new markets and channels for book distribution services
    • Collate and maintain data on book distribution services and outlets
    • Facilitate the packaging of books and other educational materials for trade and distribution

    Qualification Required

    • A minimum of a Master's Degree from an accredited tertiary institution in any of the following fields: Publishing Studies, information studies, social sciences, business administration, marketing, human resource or related field
    • A minimum of 3 years post-qualification relevant work experience in a reputable organisation
